I am all in on Strong and Gundy.

Love both guys.

prefer the defensive mind but zero complaints if we get Gundy

but if we miss Gundy and over played our hand with Strong, I will not be a happy camper and no one else should be either

If that happens then UT brass should begin the search for an AD as well as a HC.

Tressell, Petrino - both proven winners, both not currently employed, both come with no buyouts, both could be gotten at very low buyouts to fire them

let's not make this harder than it has to be Hart

There is not a home run hire out there. You either roll the dice on some young up and comer or you hire a transitional coach to take you to the level where he is replaced by another coach who take the program to a higher level.

I'm real concerned about Gundy's recruiting in the south since it would seem he has little to no ties here. Got anything to change my mind, Jay?

No kidding. Especially since we could have Butch Davis for free school tutoring and that's it. Hart needs to call Strong and give one of those I'm sorry I cheated on ya apologies. Tears, snot, entre thing.

If that happens Hart need to have the boom lowered on him from the powers that be and send him packing as well. He would have passed on 2 proven head coaches to take a DC. No more BAMA coaches!

I'll be furious. That's just poor management. It's well known that Hart was brought in to focus solely on the revival of the football program.

Sources on his side say yes and we are continually told that Tennessee has been waiting on some kind of word from him. My gut is that in the end, he will stay in Stillwater. But that's my gut.

You have no idea how upset I am with Hart right now. If we end up with Gundy or Fedora I will be sick. Unfortunately, if we don't get them then we are probably stuck with someone like Golden or Smart. I just get the feel this is Hart's fault we can't hire a good coach.

Gundy is not dumb enough to not hire guys who can recruit in the south.

Gundy will be fine, he is very capable of adaptation.
