It doesn't. Hubbs' recent news makes it sound like we may be about to blow it with Strong. That combined with the fact that 2 schools in our conference just hired great coaches. Malzahn and Bielema are better than Fedora and Gundy and it isn't close, IMO.

I'm just concerned we are about to screw this up while our rivals get it right.

If Hart really has Gruden, I can understand why this is happening like it is but I don't think he has Gruden. I'm losing patience.

The longer Hart waits, the more Gruden theorists will pop up. I sure as hell wanted Gruden because how much of a splash hire it would be, but I think there was some damage with what went down the other week.

Do you guys realize how many Ark fans just got pissed because their coach is named after an eating disorder? And how many Bama and LSU fans are making fun of them because their coach is named after an eating disorder?

I've moved on now. He's caused a lot of trouble in the fan base and he's not even our coach.

College football live was taking about all the open jobs and didn't mention us but they did say they think we are close to having a coach.

Agree. Just saying that the longer this waits, more people will argue this is the smokescreen that was told by many. I disagree, and would love Strong, but patience with him seems to be running thin.

So Arkansas got Brett beliema. Who cares?

He may be a good hire. May turn out to be a great hire. But who among us would have been excited if he had been named our Coach? I think I would have been neutral at best.

Moving on...

its funny you say that b/c my auburn buddie at work right now is pissed - i mean the guy has 1 yr of HC experience at arky state - you really think he is better than the guys we are looking at - fedora, gundy, strong, etc?

I'd take Strong over Malzahn but Malzahn over Fedora and Gundy.

Malzahn is a good recruiter and he will run the ball. Pair him with a good DC and he'll do great things. He has SEC experience and success everywhere he has been.

Unless hubbs' hearings are true about strong getting fed up an shutting us out what really has changed? We weren't after beliema or malzahn. Big deal . Calm down.

Wasn't it said that we would wait til after Fulmer's HOF thing to announce? So wait to freak out tomorrow.
