Any coach who has his team ranked in the AP 14th or higher. Preferably , tip 8. Seriously. Tennessee has the money backing. An up and comer isn't going to cut it. A top OC or DC won't do. A coach who finished outside the top 20 needs to stay where he is. I've said from the start that this needs to be a home run hire. If it isn't, then UT, Cheek and the boosters don't give a damn. Hart's only along for the ride regardless of what anyone thinks. His strings are pulled by the same ones who've been pulling the strings for years.

With this current situation we (Tennessee Volunteers Football) are in, I wonder sometimes if my emotions on this whole coaching debacle, are clouding better judgement.


I seriously don't know.

I do know, emotions or not....I don't want anyone currently coaching (in any capacity) for a team located in the states of Florida or Alabama, to be announced as the head "coarch" of The Vols.

I think so just for the star power if nothing else. I don't know how he'd actually do as a coach at the college level but it would have to be a huge draw for recruits.
