i simply do not get the love for Strong.

This was my criteria for hiring the next HC(other than Gruden).

-Familiar with the SEC
-Good recruiter
-HC experience
-Positive trending with results

Strong gets a check for every criteria. He has been around the SEC for years, he is a top notch recruiter, he has now been a winning HC, and has shown a positive trend including being a part of two NC's while a DC at UF, and now three consecutve bowls ending in a 10-2 record while at Louisville.

He actually looks better than Mora and Gundy to me, but that is just mho.

People want him to be a politician at press conferences. I personally don't want to hear that BS argument. He's a good football coach which is his job. Saban isn't just wonderful behind a mic. Gundy is volatile too. Dooley was a damn lawyer and you see where that got us.

I've said this before, but I don't care if he's a great speaker. Saban isn't. Belichick isn't. It doesn't matter. Can he coach football and recruit is the question.

If public speaking now equates to wins... I want Dooley back.
