It was said from the very beginning that UT was on Gruden's timeline not the other way around. I think Dooley not making a bowl really messed up their plan. He still has an employer that would probably like to see him finish the season, also has many endorsement deals to deal with, it would make sense that his situation would be different from someone like Charlie Strong or Butch Davis.

I remember the days when Neyland was like the UF game this year for every single game. Chuck Strong won't have to worry about packing the house in Knoxvegas.

There is now a guy on the louisville board i chat on thats saying its done also. They are pissed and some are saying they were ready for him to leave. TIFWIW
