Yeah, Gruden to UT is officially dead. Heard it completely died this past weekend. Oh well. Anyhow, onward we go. I'll still stake my claims with Charlie Strong (and Mora, but I don't think we're serious about him).

I would hire Gruden in a NY minute. I would offer around 6 million per. He would counter wanting more control. I would counter and say how does 7 per year sound to you? LOL.

i prefer Gundy as well but it seems silly to argue about it when our last coach was DD

these 2 (and most other who appear to be candidates) are such significant upgrades to what we have dealt with the past few years were gonna feel like we have died and gone to heaven

The bottom line is that nobody knows what Dave Hart is going to do. Nobody-nobody, outside of Hart and maybe Gilbert, in the UTAD has any clue what Hart will do.

I see that point and I'm not saying that. What I am saying is that I think that if it was going to be Gruden (and I believed it was highly possible at one point) that there wouldn't be a need to spend that much money just to give some sort of illusion.

I'll tell ya, I never could understand why boosters would give so much money to athletics before this year. I thought that was money that could be better spent on real charity. However, after seeing how bad it is here and how much this means to common people (like myself and most of us on here), if I had the money, I'd throw it around like nobody's business. I'd tell Haslam, Thorton, Anderson, et al. to keep their money, just sit back, watch, and enjoy the wins. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money and never will.

He still has to interview candidate in case the reported Gruden negotiations come to an end.

Yea i agree anyone over DD will be upgrade, but i just don't see Pelini being the guy. I think Fedora should get a closer look though. Just a Year ago he beat Sumlin in the Conference championship game and won 8 games this past year. But would also be happy if we end up with Strong

I'd be skyping like mugg. Also just go to NY and interview some candidates to satisfy requirements with one trip. Saving some dough. JMO.

Was just on Nebraskas board, you're not going to believe who they are talking about replacing Pelini IF he leaves.......the one, the only, Jon Gruden.

I've kept up w/ Nebraska & talk to alot of Husker fans, they are split on Pelini.

If you just look at Gundy & Pelini's resumes w/out knowing which one belongs to who I bet 90% of the people would choose Pelini.
