Middleton, a 6-foot, 249-pound player, said U of L coach Charlie Strong was excited to get the news of his commitment on Sunday night after Middleton returned home. He said Strong a name mentioned as a potential candidate for multiple coaching vacancies told him hed be staying at U of L, an assurance that Middleton wanted to get and sought out point-blank.
He was like, I aint going nowhere no time soon, Middleton said. I asked him straight up if he was going to leave or had any intention of leaving, and he said, no.
I think it's easy to see that by far the top 3 candidates are Fisher, Gundy, & Strong. When you compare all 3 resumes together I don't see how anyone couldn't say Strong has the best ATP. You might be able to make an argument for Fisher but I think Strong is the "best" candidate.
Well stay away from the Gruden threads...those guys get easily upset if you tell them what has already been reported...
I like Strong too...great coach, Dungee gave him a great compliment, and Strong can go into places like Memphis and Florida for talent.

Louisville just flipped a Ole Miss 2-star DT and this was in the interview
Obviously no coach would tell a kid who commited to their current program that he is leaving, but it isn't a good sign. It is bad if he is willing to tell commits straight up lies and then leave, and it is also bad as a sign he is not coming to Tennessee. Double edged sword.
no coach would say "man, i'd like to have you, but i am trying to peace out of here so we'll see bro" in that situation. none.
Forget my last post, my math was wrong. Gundys defense over the past 6 seasons averages out at 84th in the Nation. Still not impressive though.

Just because his defense is like that in the big 12, doesn't mean it'll be like that in the SEC. He is going to run the best scheme to win him games and in the big 12, that is outscoring your opponents. Les Miles was 10th in defense in the big 12 his last year at Oklahoma State.
I don't see how you're not impressed with a guy with wins over head coaches many on here are clamoring for such as Stoops and Shaw.
He has also put in a ton of players in the NFL. A lot of them start such as Russel Okung, Justin Blackmon, Dez Bryant, Brandon Pettigrew, and Brandon Weeden.
