Hubs just did his Sat update. Really nothing new. Thinks they are planning on hiring someone this next week, so it looks like it's probably gonna be Gundy, Fisher, Golden, Strong, or maybe Fedora(nobody seems to know if an interview is really in the works for him or not). Rucker basically has the exact same info, so if that's whose being interviewed this week, the I suppose we should have one of them in place by Friday. I personally can't wait.

Jason Higdon from FoxSports is saying that Strong is in Louisville recruiting and did not interview with Tennessee.

I don't know why, but I've got a bad feeling we are about to do something dumb.

You all are missing a detail on this. Higdon said he dod not interview with UT TODAY (Sat.) Hubbs claimed the interview took place Friday, so he's technically telling the truth. This was on Twitter during the Bama game and Rucker pointed that out.

I really hope it's Strong. I'd hate to see it be Fisher, Golden, or Gundy.

49-18 as a HC. 3 10-win seasons in 5 years, defenses are consistently one of the best in the nation.

You. Are. Crazy.

You see tonite why I don't want Pelini. I was at a party tonite of a Nebraska fan who's from Nebraska. He said he and most of his Husker buddies hope Pelini takes the Auburn job.

Out of the coaches that seem most likely here's how I'd rank them...

1- Fisher (Great recruiter, UT needs one)
2- Gundy (Winner)
3- Fedora (Seems to win everywhere he goes)
4- Strong (Not really sold on him, yet)
5- Golden (Would be a disaster)

People are going to realize that Fisher isn't that great, if he leaves. He's a good recruiter, because he coaches at FSU.

Just curious how can you rank Fisher so much higher than Strong? Both are great recruiters. National Championship level Coordinators. Strong has proven he can pull great players(Florida defenders as well as Teddy Bridgewater and other youngsters). Fisher can't win the ACC after playing an easy schedule. Strong took care of business and got his squad to a BCS bowl game in year 3.

And Fedora ahead of Strong for what reasons again???? Hell Gundy is the only one that's proven anything outside of Strong on that list. No one else has gotten their team to a BCS bowl berth.

All this Fisher is a great recruiter BS. You all think that Florida schools just happen to always hire elite recruiters? It's FL, it's the 2nd easiest recruiting state besides TX. You want to get someone who recruits well where it's HARD, not where it's easy.

Thank you. Strong is recruiting at a tough, tough place to recruit.

From the Colorado 247 site:

"Scoop spoke with a source of ours close to Tennessee on Saturday and heard the following:

We were told Jones is currently 3rd on UT's list. First is Mike Gundy, who is interviewing with them tomorrow. Second is Jimbo Fisher, who is interviewing with them on Monday. Depending on how those two go, Jones could then be contacted.

But as of this point Jones hasn't had any formal contact with UT officials."

Jones is 3rd, but we haven't had any contact. Yet we've contacted Strong, Fedora and Golden.
