Anyone else read his article? Did it sound as if Hart personally didn't want Gruden here because of his potential power so he intentionally botched it?

They had the Freetimes reporter on his show Friday that stuck by his story that it was a finished deal minus the Asst Coach pay... Travis went nuts and said it sounded to him that Hart didn't want Gruden and that Gruden must not have been his first choice.. They eluded to the fact that any AD that hired a "Gruden type" coach wouldn't have control of the AD dept... TIFWIW...

If Asst Coach pay was the only issue, then Gruden would have signed with Arkansas and Auburn. Lets face it Doolanders, the guy turned TN into a dumpster fire:loco:

And that guy sounded pretty convincing to me. Also said he worked at the paper for 23 years.

Gruden was not coming. It is not hart's fault. When will you people learn that these people say and write things that cause controversy. That is how they sale themselves

The Gruden ship has sailed but Hargis is not that kind of writer and never has been. When will you learn you do not know anything about Hargis or his family.

This stuff really is funny....reminds me of the ole National Enquirer....post anything anywhere and somebody will find it, read it, and swear to someone else what you say is true....But its capitalism at its best.....

Yeah, and you know if that's true that is going to be bad news for Dave Hart. The guy he hires next is going to be tied to him---so wouldn't you want it to be someone with the best resume possible? Gruden was tops I would say--all other candidates and other names didn't make as much sense as Gruden. If he didn't even try to get Gruden---and this next coach fails then he'll be out on the next train from Knoxville IMO.
