Anyway what happens to all the cliff notes??? It's a good way to show the roller coaster that this has really been.

I posted right after the story broke about the credibility of the TFP. Lived in Chattanooga for 20 years, and it's as legit as a paper gets.

What was published can be taken as fact. Disregard everything else.

Here's what it all comes down to:

The TFP is sticking to its guns 100%. What they reported about Gruden pulling his name out of the search came from AD.

The AD has been on lock down since the beginning and in the wake of the Memphis story, said they would release no info until the search was done.

Draw your own conclusions..

the number of 4 to 5 mil dollars was thrown out for assistant coaches,on the Basilio show ,talking to Hargis,i wonder if it is actually higher ?

Exactly. Here's the 2nd paragraph of that article....

Several unnamed sources within the UT athletic department told outlets other than the Chattanooga Times Free Press that Gruden has pulled his name out of the running.

i still believe .hell after the season we had who wouldn't get excited about Gruden too many things have been said for it not to have been possibly or possibly still..hell the boosters who first talked probably are going to be quiet now as part of plan to show Hart worked it out..the fan base knows Gruden who fill up the seats because what fan wouldn't want to be a part of that..not once did tn ad try to squelch the rumors that were growing...some of rumors were confirmed .still believe that the dance is still on will rill someone else is announced gbo

I don't get it.

The guy has done this 23 years.
Brought in his editor to verify.
Staked his career on the article on numerous talk shows yesterday.

Anyone trying to minimize or disparage the TFP article is way off base. When you move away from Knoxville, you realize how bad the local media really is. Several journalists have have told me how shocked they were by the article because nobody knew or believed any of this Gruden stuff, and now they are all trying to figure out why they whiffed and the TFP got it.

The exception is the Knoxville media. Word is that all of them are still sucking on the AD teet, and that there is no effort at all to dig further once the AD said that Gruden was out.

I personally don't think that there is much hope left to get Gruden, but this story is far from over.

Because the poster you quoted has his wagon hitched to Brent Hubbs and won't believe anything that Hubb's doesn't say is true. He's unable to form his own opinion on situations like this by taking in all the information out there. Just put him on ignore like I did days ago, he's not worth your time. IMO
