How about this synopsis:
The "Blood Bath" occurred on Wednesday between AD and BTB (Big Time Boosters). I'm not sure that they can be repaired. It will be interesting so see how much financial support will be offered to the next candidate.
I'm not sure what you know, but is there any truth to a meeting between only Hart (no boosters present and without their knowledge) and JG/Lamonte....immediately after Gruden would no longer take calls from anyone affiliated with Tennessee.
Same person told me Hart was against the Gruden hire from the beginning and was furious that contact had been made before Dooley was fired. Also, before thanksgiving, boosters went over Harts head to Cheek and got him fully on board 100%....the 18 million resulted from this.
Also, the week leading up to Alabama, three prominent boosters met with Gruden face to face and got a verbal agreement. A few days later six boosters agreed to finance Gruden's salary, the current staff's buyout. The only thing the University would be responsible for was Gruden's staff and a few of their buyouts from other schools. Boosters wanted Dooley canned following SC loss but Hart was still wanting to bring him back for a fourth season. After Troy and Hart still refusing to make a decision, two of the six boosters dropped out of the financial agreement.
Heard all of this from the same person. I have confirmed some of it with a few people that know more than me. Haven't wanted to drop such specific details but I don't think it really matters anymore.
A lot of truth in this in my opinion.
Sorry man... I will hope for a miracle, and we get Gruden....
But to much out there now... looks like that is what it will take to get Gruden now... A MIRACLE
This is from LonzoVol (Big Orange Report writer, Warner Agee) from TOS.
Sounds like there is a big divide between Dave Hart and the boosters. Can Hart survive long term if this is true?

I agree. I still think that it could happen. Very, very small chance. I don't believe it will be Strong though. He already makes 3+ million at Louisville and I think they'll match what ever we offer up to a point meaning it will take close to $5 to get him. I don't believe we'll pay that for him. We may pay 5 but it won't be for him. JMO
Call me naive, but Would Hart put his job on the line like this? What's it to him who the Boosters want, if they are footing most of the bill? The only scenario that even works for me (IF this is true) would be that there were too many leaks and Hart/agent devised a plan to shut everyone up by saying it is all over, while waiting for the time to announce.
And that doesn't work for me, because I don't know why Gruden would even need to stall?
Why are we even discussing this? This program has to sell out a huge stadium pronto. It has to recruit 4,5 sta athletes immediately. It has to go from cellar to contender immediately. Why are we even discussing this?!?
If we are within a million on this package, I'm sorry... AD Hart doesn't understand what's at stake, and should be terminated immediately. If that's what separates us and he can't garner that support...even if for the benefit of the Knoxville area economy alone...he needs to go. Gov. Haslam should step in. You don't think kKnoxville needs this too?! Imagine another few years of this, and see how that goes!
Gruden: Winner. Aggressive, Super Bowl winning coach. Widely recognized, marketable name that can bring in more licensing revenues, attention, visibility for our program.
You think Alabama, given the same chance..or Michigan or Notre Dame or USC wouldn't find a WH to get this done?! If the AD can't find a way to bring in sponsors, make this work, in a once in a lifetime shot....then maybe we need to find ourselves someone who can.
