If gruden really wants to be a vol then he would work with us and become the coach. But everything we have heard from gruden side is pay this pay that meet my demands. it seems to be more about tha money and control than just wanting to be the next head football coach at TENNESEE!!! Freakin get somebody in here who want to kick some ass with ut and has our back to tha end. If your to big for my university I dont want your ass anyway. theres some coaches out there i will take anyday. I saw strong gettin fired up last jumpin up and down smackin kids on the helmet and beat a good rutgers team at there house last night. if he was at UT he would recruit better players more often and get them! And i gurantee no other coach is gonna talk trash to em cuz he would probly lay somebody out. just sayin im supporting tha next coach because he wants to be here!!

I feel you. The best thing about him to me would have been recruiting. Imagine the talent he would have brought in on his name alone. And if he started dominating....look out

I'm not saying Gruden is Charlie Weiss I'm saying the guy is an 80 million pound gorilla and asking for a contract accordingly. Right it wrong or crazy I'm starting to think only the NFL could handle the guy.

At one time I believed he wanted partly to be at UT but after what he let Lemonte say....Idk

Lemonte could have said what he said 100000 different ways

I agree with you. I am upset and I apologize for being a di-ck. you are correct. Strong will not fix it. I am still pissed-really pissed.

No lived in Hohenfels. Did live in Schweinfurt for a couple years and I graduated from Wurzburg American High School in 83.

Thanks! I'm mobile but this is exactly what I was referring too. I trust LL more than Gruden or Lemonte and LL wants to win as bad as anyone.

Between Lemonte's comment, this tweet, and LWS's posts about Haslam I'm off the Grude train. If it's meant to be it will.

I feel ya bra. I am a die hard Ut fan. We had our saban right there, and now hes gone. Im pissed 2. Now we r settling for strong or whoever. They ain't gonna cut it. But its whatever. wish it was the 90's again

Richt first coached as a 'volunteer' quarterbacks coach at Florida State for Bobby Bowden. Then he was hired by East Carolina as their OC. Then he returned to Florida State as a QB coach and eventually promoted to OC. Then he was hired as Georgia's HC.

No SEC experience.

Awesome. i work for Mercedes here in bama. Hoping they are gonna send me over there for training soon! Would be a paid holiday for me. Stuttgart isn't far from Mannheim either so would be very nice. Gotta love there public transportation. It will get you anywhere fast!

A lot of things still don't add up. LWS said that he thinks Gruden and his agent just did all this to keep his name out there. Since when did Gruden need us to keep his name out there? It only comes up with EVERY open coaching job! Why would he talk to assistants like he did? Sorry, all this has been discussed. I'm just having trouble letting go.

U have to pay big bucks for a big name. Period. In this situation your obviously gonna have to pay more then saban is making. If tennessee is smart they counter offer a hierarchy scale and set expectations with this incredible pay he is asking. Hes asking the world but he knows what hes worth. His impact on any college program would be instantaneous because of his publicity and egotistical nature if his espn programs. Thats not acting thats jon gruden. I think in this situation u get what u pay for. Is it rediculous yes, but if u want to be on top u have no choice.

Someone posted a link from an old article (linking Gruden and Dallas) that stated that his ESPN contract was ironclad. I would think that at least supports the theory that he finishes MNF for this season before he moves on.

Which means if he strung us along to the finish and went to San Diego we'd be up the creek without a paddle.

Not trying to be a Debbie downer but the guy has the ability to completely eff us. It's known he's left people at the alter.

So..... you don't think he botched this?? Did you not see the Chattanooga reporter's SOLID refute that it was hart's deal, ALL the money was there according to his sources. It was a "whatever he asks, he gets" deal. (Within reason).
