Ive got a STRONG feeling that if hart hired Franklin that it would be mattresses being bought all over America..... Oh and matches 2 :)

There are many prospects across the South that love Strong but would never sign to play at Louisville. Hopefully we can change that....

Not so sure about that. Again, I think Franklin could do very well here. We will have to make a very solid hire to have the best coach in Tennessee if its not Franklin.

I think Franklin = Strong but is a better hire than Fedora, Davis, Golden, or Fisher.

Hubbs on potential staff members for Strong.

I would think Graham would likely be retained. I don't know about Pittman. I'm not sure where Strong is with his current staff. You hear alot that Tee Martin would be involved.

But I don't know what a full staff would look like if he were hired and that's a big if.

Is this a big enough hire that if he says yes...tomorrow...sunday...whenever that you go ahead and get it out there?

Agreed. Not to mention he could probably bring in North and Quick at receiver, IMO.


Going to get my hopes up for Strong now.

I can't say for 100-percent certain, but Charlie Strong makes the most sense and if I were guessing, I would guess Strong. It's not being done here in town.

Whoever Hart hires will seal his fate. If Hart stood his ground with Cheek about the money and academic issues, then the new coach goes 6-6, 7-5 the next two years Hart will have to go.

If Chizick can win it all at AU in two and Saban can do it in 3, new guy better be at 9-10 wins in 2014.

Look can I just be real honest here with my fellow fans?

There really is no sense in being mad at Hart and here is why:

1. We really dont know the details. Hard to be mad at someone when you do not know the details. WE can assume a lot but at best it is just assumption so we need to be fair in our perspective.

2. For those who cant settle on #1, then look at it this way - all issues like money, staff, and power tossed aside...Gruden comes to TN as HC. 1 or even 2 years later an NFL job becomes available and Gruden goes NFL, which is where it appears his heart is focused...

Do you now have hard feelings at Gruden (like Kiffin) for leaving? Or do you trust Hart to get the right coach from day 1? Hart didnt hire Dooley but I am sure we would like to have that decision as a redo.

I understand but it's hard for me to pull for him when I despise him he seems like a major douche!!!!!!! Idk it's like mud champ to me I wouldn't want him either I'd rather we get strong and Franklin go to auburn :hi:

When Hart makes his hire, it will be announced very quickly. He understands recruiting and we have the dead period coming up. If Strong is his man, he would have to leave Louisville in a hurry and start recruiting for Tennessee. That can be said for whoever he hires, doesnt matter if they have a bowl game coming up or not.

Some people need to grow up and stop acting like 13 year old girls.

Franklin has more upside than any coach on our radar and is more ready than Strong for sure.

Who cares if he has workd at Vanderbilt? Fulmer and Doug Mattheews did. Would you turn down Saban because he works at Alabama?

I personally think Franklin would do well at UT. But as I think It was Orange &White alluded to earlier. It would be extremely risky to try that and give him a chance to turn us down publicly.

Granted Hart could pull a Lamonte and just deny it ever happened and say Franklin is living in a fantasy world. Which is what he has The Vandy fan living in

Hubbs said that nothing is going on with Stoops. Also his comments on Fisher make it look like a long shot there too. Not a surprise. I guess the info Carlos got today wasn't accurate.
