You dont think the mods dont know? Really? Look how fast those dudes had to split and go make Grudenville because their mods knew the real deal and shut em down...if the mods shut these threads down then Gruden is dead, because they know...

If these threads are being left alive they know theres going to be a boom soon...

Just listened to travis clay on vernons show. Basically said hart messed this up and its over. Said he would hire:
1 franklin
2 petrino
3 mullen
4 strong

None of this adds up--- you cannot tell me Hart has been sitting around with his thumbs up his arse while half of the fan base is in total shark-frenzy mode on them working out a deal with Gruden-- when now everyone is saying its been BS. Has this guy just been sitting around laughing watching all of this go down?! I cannot believe he doesn't understand the gravity of this hiring for the future of UT's football program and now, no matter what happens, he is being perceived as a tool? IF he has a computer, he knows what has been going on, so he has either been looking at Monster.com or has something up his sleeve.. I hope so for his sake

I don't see how it can be true that today would be the first day we contact the Gruden camp. I mean, come on. That's GOTTA be false. Heck, I wanted to call JG 6 weeks ago.

Seriously? Why? Because after several statements all over the map he got one right?

Here's one statement he made that does not match Lamonte's statement: "UT officials reached out to Jon Gruden's agent for meeting today (28th) but Gruden canceled meeting - don't know why. Could reschedule later"

I can go on with a few more based on his Twitter account alone. Now remind me again why anyone owes this guy an apology?

Agent's lie all the time, but I can no longer imagine a scenario where we go from what he said to a situation where Jon Gruden is Tennessee's coach. This is done, and I can't believe I got sucked into this.

What does not add up; however, is how this search has been conducted, and why the AD let this entire fanbase twist in the wind for the past two weeks. Its asinine.

I believe Hart was told that he had X amount of money and Gruden wanted a not insignificant amount more. Guys, when you can't buy the house, you can't buy the house.

I feel like this...we're about to be served a turd in the punchbowl. Heck they might as well name the coach today cause everybody is already pissed.

So basically all of the "insiders" were making everything up? The agent comes out today and says today is the first time he's heard from anyone at UT? I call BS. If that is true, then what in the hell has Hart been doing for the last 2 weeks other than sitting on his ass?

Any leak from the AD is designed ENTIRELY to divert media and fan attention from the main target (Gruden) while the remainder of the MNF schedule is played out and contracts with Corona and Hooters are resolved. Gruden probably has several speaking engagements already scheduled that will need to be discretely canceled as well.

Using the reliable local media stooges (Hyams & Hubbs), the AD releases via unamed sources in his office (mis)information that Gruden is not a target, and puts the bloodhounds on the trail of several false scents (Strong, Golden, Fedora, etc) while continuing to negotiate the deal. Meanwhile, AD conducts interviews to secure a backup candidate in case the Gruden deal falls through. Boosters and everyone else with any "true" inside information have the clamps put on them concerning the Gruden deal until everything is finalized.

These are smart people who know exactly what they're doing and knew ahead of time how this would play out. They put a plan in place early on to handle the denials. Just sit tight. It'll all be okay.

I am so glad the agent has cleared the air. Now everyone can realize this was completely and 100% fabricated and fan-driven with no true relevance whatsoever. Please get behind our new coach and this program again like you got behind Gruden, its the only way we will win again - everyone has to be all in. Go Vols!

Of course Franklin is at the top of his list. Seriously, why is he so in love with Jame Franklin?
