Gruden used us like he used Notre Dame and Miami. Time to move on. Y'all believed everything these "OG's" said even though they've never been reliable sources of information in the past. Sad.

If you read into that statement, it means that there was DEFINITE interest from Gruden's end, otherwise why would he be putting a staff together. Also means $$$ was discussed (at least informally and not necessarily in the form of a formal offer). That way both Gruden AND UT could deny ever having given/received and offer, which is what is being "reported" that UT made no formal offer to Gruden, which could be true. Gruden may have heard the informal offer from boosters/middle en and decided that he didnt even want to hear the official pitch from UT.

what I really think might have happened is that Gruden was only interested in the hassle of a college job at the right price and if some/all of those hassles were removed. UT simply cannot give him everything he requires and so Gruden is of the opinion that coaching college just isnt worth the hassle.

Yeah it's the AD who did this. Like he didn't give a full effort.

Your constant complaining makes us such a great fan base. Everything has to be someone's fault.

Maybe, just maybe Gruden didn't want the job. Maybe he wanted waaaay more than UT, AD, or boosters were willing to give.

Some people really need to think reality and grow a brain.

This statement by Gruden's agent is obviously not true, Gruden probably has stepped away, but all this claiming they haven't talked is BS... it is just Gruden bailing out Hart after this didn't work out. Too many sources claiming talks have stopped, now they are saying they never began? No sense.

I just dont understand how it all goes down this way? No one wins here at all! UT looks bad, the AD looks bad, the media looks bad, ESPN looks bad, the boosters look bad and Gruden looks bad!!! All could have been avoided if this stuff was just squashed by both parties a week ago!

Agree with your post however we need more facts......if we ever get them. I'm sure at some point they will leak out.

I still don't trust agents however......this may go on for a while.

This is not to rub in anyone's face at all: I wanted Gruden just as much as anyone. But there will soon be some new users on VolNation, conspicuously close to the dates some old users left.

And just a couple days ago you were reporting your friend said Gruden was going to be announced and you believed him and were on board with the OG's and now say this. Sad.
