Official Jon Gruden Thread XIII

If it really is some epic battle of egos that has now made its way public, I'd be very hesitant to interview if I were any of these other possible candidates out there. It's turning clown show-esque now. Would any of these coaches want to walk into a situation where the boosters threw ungodly amounts of money for one single man and back an AD against the wall or an AD who shoved the Money back against the wall and gave them the proverbial finger? All public?

Nobody would have excited me like Gruden would have. But there are guys out there who can coach. Urban Meyer came from a pos WAC team, look how he's turned out.

Oh I agree, I prefer certain guys OVER Gruden actually. It's just that I know they won't come here, and the names on our supposed list are meh.

Hope we get a good one.

I'll miss this thread--but we've got a day or two to start a big honking futile one on Stoops, if we hurry! Gruden did not want to return to the college game--which he should have said to us early on. I think the staff money bit is BS--I've no doubt we were prepared to offer him serious money for a staff. There were lots of other issues, according to Sterling, who seems to have a very credible source, but at the end of the day Gruden didn't want to a college job--and Hart wasn't prepared to let him run the athletic department.

@Soonersportscom said there would be a BIG announcement today and to stay tuned... Wonder whats really going on with Stoops and OU.

This was tweeted yesterday....and followed up by renewing rivalry with Nebraska tweet few hours later.

:boredom:

I still think its Gruden, and if it isn't Hart will not be here in 2013. Too much info out, especially after Hargis story. There is no credibility from Hyams or Hubbs on this matter, and that is ESPN's sources.
As much as I want to believe it is still Gruden, you already have other Knoxville media members lining up and standing against Hargis and they are using the fact that he appeared on Basilio as evidence that he is a crack pot.

Take it or leave it:

TFP article is pretty much 100% accurate. My source tells me that there might be a butting of heads, but believes this is the part in the process where Hart comes out looking like a hero. He still believes this is happening.

Was also told Thunder is probably Hargis' second source.
