Hubbs said 3-4 hours is the very LEAST amount of time before a presser could happen that it is announced so media could get there.

So if there is no announcement by Noon we can put the rumors of today at three to bed.

I dont think anything gets formally announced today.....JMO

Agree completely!

This is going to look terrible for Gruden if it comes out that he strung us out this long then backs out at the last second. Something needs to be said from his side as well as the AD side.

I cant imagine the mad house on December 17th.

National sports media (you know who) will spin it as we (UT) was just another "delusional" NCAA small-time school.

He will be fine.

Translation: ESPN hates UT

I'm not sure I have heard a more immature rebuttal from a radio show host in my life. "How much have your donor sources contributed over the last few years. I talked to one of Gruden's former coaches." Sheesh man, if you know what the truth is stop getting so butt hurt about it.

People need to chill. Hyams saying its over and Josh Ward retweeting him on it doesn't make it true. I'm not swaying until a new coach is announced!!

Steven Hargus from the Chattanooga Times is on the Sports Monster here in the Tri-Cities. First he said that he doesn't report things just to get a story out. He has multiple sources with one being very reliable. He said Gruden wants to be at Tennessee and and offer has been made. The only thing holding it up is the money for his staff. He said basically the ball is in the AD's court.

Water is getting choppy in here... but we're still on our way to paradise!

Aside from all the other things pointing to Gruden (lack of PR, OGs, silence from AD...) I honestly cannot believe Cindy Gruden would let her husband run her University through the mud, especially with family that lives in the area. Talk about making their lives miserable.

If it was over it would be over, publicly, brutally, and definitively from the horse's mouth and from UT's mouth.

Not from Jimmy Hyam's mouth. (Black Jerseys, Kiffin not being hired, everything else he's ever reported...)

Again, if Mama ain't happy...

That's cool, and I'm not trying to pick an internet argument just for the sake of arguing. As always, we can agree to disagree.

My point is that it very well may be true that our AD did not want Gruden. He may very well have had good reasons not to want Gruden. If he had good reason not to want Gruden, he shouldn't be fired so that Gruden could work for another AD, or because he refused to sign a bad contract to get Gruden.

I guess I'm just disagreeing to offset the rampant posts, from people with no inside info on just what is going down, who blindly profess "Gruden or fire Hart". I would find it personally repugnant to fire a guy if he was taking a hard stand for the long-term stability and well-being of the university.

:hi:

If Hart doesn't want Gruden but the boosters do, I trust their business judgement on what is an acceptable deal 1000% more than Hart who has been here only about a year and was forced out at FSU.
