Travis is also likely dead on with the tweet that the TFP article was the boosters' (Haslem) way of telling Hart to get off the pot. Even the TFP writer posted that "Big Jim" was his source. Hart cannot withstand the public relations nightmare if he is outed as being the one who nixed Gruden.

Hart is a dead man walking. If Cheek doesn't pull rank, then he will be the next.

How did UT's administration get so screwed up?

No OG coming in lately scares the hell out of me. They are usually here to at least say something in these times. CRAP!

Relax. The Ogs are here. They are at the point of only posting if they have new info to keep from getting bombarded with repeated questions.
All is well. Just sit back and enjoy!

Stephen Hargis from TFP on air now with Ainge.

Says it really is all about the money for asst coaches.

100% if they got him the money Gruden would be our coach.

Boy...Hart is literally on the hot seat now

Here is a visual representation of tonight's happenings. It involves three characters.

1-The Jon Gruden Contract Offer Story

2-Chattanooga TFP

3-Wes Rucker

I'll let y'all decide which character is which.

Some of the madness from the early AM. Thought I would share for the day walkers.

Per SDS

Tennessee

What a wild week for Tennessee fans eager to see who their next coach will be.
Jon Gruden has long since thought to be the frontrunner and the favorite for the job. The entire fan base wants this to happen.
FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher is also on the list and is said to be one of Hart’s favorite candidates.
The Gruden rumors went into overdrive two nights ago when it was reported that he had not only been offered the Tennessee head coaching position, but that he had also been offered a minority stake in the Cleveland Browns. However, both Gruden and the Browns shot the rumor down.
Gruden was also supposed to have a meeting with Hart today, but Gruden cancelled the meeting.
Miami head coach Al Golden is said to be interviewing for the job today.
Tennessee is said to be interviewing coaches in the next 7-10 days and will make a decision somewhere around December 8-10.
It is my belief that Gruden has been in talks with Tennessee for a week or more, but the cat was let out of the bag with the false report about the Browns.

These knoxville guys reporting that the Times Free Press info is old need to be asked ...if that is the case, why did they scramble at 12:30 AM to post stories on their websites linking to it and try to make it look as if they were aware of it before.

Thats ridiculous. John Thornton told them. They got scooped. Get over it KNS. . .

This is at least the 20th time some nut come in here and post this same post

Yeah I'm some nut who wants gruden just as much as the next. I guess i m a nut bc I refuse to be delusional like the folks that said wed probably win ten games this year my apologies

WTF just happened? Was on here before meeting and everything was looking favorable for us. Now, I come back and everything seems to have imploded.

I am pretty pissed because if it is over they need to get that out there so the new coach has a chance of acceptance. I was told PR is something they don't have time to worry about. Terrible approach IMO

Either way it goes Bruin, this has been the worse PR job we have seen from the University in my long life...

If it's not Grude = who can Hart hire now,.... that will be a difficult job for anybody because of the the Gruden talk

If it is Gruden= This thing needs to be finalized because the confusion makes us look like bafoons
