Even if Hart doesn't like the hire, he'll be the AD that "hired" Gruden away from the NFL. Just sit down, shut up, and enjoy your billionaire boosters.
Let's not start dogging Hart too much just yet. He's got to represent having the backbone to go against the boosters. In the end, as an AD, he'll do what's right for the university and he'll also do what's right for himself as a gainfully employed businessman.
He's not going to cut off his nose to spite his face.
Finally made it to the top page been reading 30 pages back what a ride I'm proud to be a part of these threads. WHAT A RIDE!!! GO VOLS GET GRUDEN!!! I BELIEVE!!!! SOOOON VERY SOOON!!!!!!:good!:
Could you just imagine if Hart tried to kill the deal now? If this story is true--and I believe it is--I don't see a way that Gruden is not the next head coach of the Vols!
It comes from Gruden's camp. They want more money for assistants. I don't believe for one second that money is not an issue. This report makes no sense if that is true.
The boosters may be willing to put up the money but Hart may still be trying to negotiate the best deal possible for the University because of the issue of low reserves. That's just speculation on my part though.
