I'm still in until there is something official form one of the two parties that confirms or negates Gruden coming to UT. Mark May spouting stuff during the halftime of the Big East title game is nothing that makes me feel any different.
Its a cover up .They are giving JG the time he needs. Then they will get to break it all.MM is a company man.Towing the company line.

When will they have to announce the presser if it is tomorrow afternoon?

Is it pretty much not going to happen if they dont announce it in the morning?

Most media say they are normally given 3 hours lead way. They could receive notice at 12 PM for a 3 PM presser.

Sorry, had to do that.:D I would take him over Golden.

I'd take him over 95% of coaches.

If Gruden actually turned us down, and Hart is in Oklahoma right now, my guess is he would be working on something pretty epic. You ask would we rather have Gundy or stoops?

Hart would be a few steps ahead. If we just offered the reportedly huge deal to Gruden and he declined, hart went out to go pick up both Gundy AND stoops.

Unlikely, I know, but that's what I'd do if Gruden declined and I was left with all this money to play with. I'd drop a nuke on the entire state of Oklahoma football.

But I'm still full on for Gruden until hart brings us Gundy AND Stoops

So first it was money, then control of the AD, now it's stating he wouldn't be comfortable in college like he would the NFL.

Excuse, after excuse, after excuse. None of them have stuck, yet every day, national/local media comes up with some new sticking point that Gruden is no longer in play, well after they spend a large portion of time saying he'd never be in play in the first place.

All the while, every leak that is reported lines up with what the OGs have said all along. Gruden and Hart (who aren't morons) haven't shot this down. The most "credible" voice to say anything on the matter Rick Venturi, who just so happens to be friends with Gruden, says that Gruden to UT is a very real possibility.

Tonight, the eve of the often quoted 11/30 date where every OG said things would look bleak so that Hart could appear to save the day, suddenly becomes bleak, with nothing of credible value sticking. We have multiple people shooting the rumors down, but none of them can confirm anything from Gruden, and the majority of them have shoddy at best track records. Again, Hart has nothing to say, and all evidence can't pry out a single interview/visit with any of the other people supposedly on our list.

The money, the Cindy angle, the Haslam/Peyton scenario - this has all been spelled out for us up to this point, damn near to a T. Why are so many suddenly claiming that the sky is falling when this exact scenario is exactly what so many folks have told us would happen from the getgo. It may not be tomorrow, and it may not be the weekend, but until Gruden himself directly shoots it down (when he's had ample time/opportunities to) or Hart says we've moved on, why in the world do so many people think this thing is dead?

I agree with this 100%! I just dont get why the AD would screw with the fan base for this long over something they could have killed weeks ago! Then if they could have worked something out secretly....Hart would be the hero he wants to be! Who knows, he still may pull it off...just not the way I would do business at all!!!!
