There will NOT be a presser to announce anything but Gruden tomorrow.


Think for a second:

1) You don't have a presser to announce Gruden is not coming to UT. All that does is make the University and fanbase look like fools. You send out a concise press release to do that.

2) You don't announced a DIFFERENT coach without denouncing Gruden rumors first and letting fanbase settle. Imagine the uproar tomorrow if they announce Strong or Golden tomorrow at 3pm. State of Tennessee goes into a collective fetal position.

Only a few people know about it at this point but word is spreading fast.

Alright, here's where we stand:

Knox media is saying the deal is off, that we should look other places.

But, there's a players meeting at 2, and a presser at 3 tomorrow.

I'm going to make a prediction.. If it doesn't pan out.. Oh well, I was wrong.

Remember the "Hero Hart" narrative?
It's going to happen. Sometime between now and the presser tomorrow, there will be a breakthrough in the negotiations, and Gruden will be announced as the new HC because of what will be reported as shrewd negotiating by Hart.

Again.. This is just speculation, but I think it might be a good possibility.

I am very worried about the lag in the recruiting game with the out going coaches repping us. I think that Hart should consider this and maybe he has. Gruden as a recruiter would be incredible. That is why I think it very well could be JG. A chump change recruiting class could set a average by SEC standards roster back 2 years in the win column.
