Why not? I've yet to have a client who would jeapardize a windfall over something that amounts to a few % of that windfall. It simply isn't an issue especially not for someone with grudens $$$.

Every day he doesn't sign is a risk. The risk UT could change its mind or someone like stoopes could swoop in and express interest for less $. Not a great risk, but a risk nonetheless for someone with $50m on the line.

If there's a holdup it isn't the TB $.

I understand that in the business world. But, Gruden knows he IS the target. I would also go out on a limb and state that Gruden gave a verbal agreement but hasn't put it in writing to receive his final check.

Gruden has the leverage and not UT in this case. As long as he doesn't wait long enough to effect recruiting, UT will do what he wants.
