Sorry gotta teach a class. More info later hopefully

More info??? You gave us nothing a few pages back unless you somehow channeled it to us with an embargo or some such media terminology!

I still believe though...

This needs to happen NOW!

Text from Bama friend "Do you really think the nation cares about the state of Tennessee football?" (regards to ESPN talking about rumors).

I desperately want to kick him in the junk with this.

Answer him, "No, but by God they WILL! Now STFU and go fix me a sammich...B!TCH!"

A $50m contract is significantly delayed over something like $200k?????

Don't buy that for a second.[/QUOTthat

200K could be 2 dollars and we would still need to wait It has nothing to do with the amount it has everything to do with Malcom Glazor having to sign that check

The theories have been laid out since VERY early on in this saga. Do you just read what you want to read and skim past everything else?

1. Potential (large?) buyout payment still owed to Gruden by the Bucs. This would seem to be the biggest reason.

2. To make it appear that there was an actual coaching search.

3. Lots of legal maneuvering with his contracts etc.

No clue if any of these are truth or rumor but I find it hard to believe that you haven't seen them mentioned in these threads. Or maybe your reading comprehension skills are lacking.

didnt want to sift through a thousand pages to find it. thanks for your response.

Why not? It's not like he is asking UT to wait a month. We weren't naming him as coach before the UK game, so if he can wait a few more days for another 200k, wouldn't you?

He has said himself that he was hurt that he was fired by the Bucs. He can take that 200k and buy Cindy a nice Christmas gift.
Why not? I've yet to have a client who would jeapardize a windfall over something that amounts to a few % of that windfall. It simply isn't an issue especially not for someone with grudens $$$.

Every day he doesn't sign is a risk. The risk UT could change its mind or someone like stoopes could swoop in and express interest for less $. Not a great risk, but a risk nonetheless for someone with $50m on the line.

If there's a holdup it isn't the TB $.

Maybe because that was (verbatim) what Saban said about Bama. I can post the link if you want

No need. I'm aware of it. I just don't think that something happening once makes it probable to happen again. Also, the situation with Saban was much different. He was coaching the Fins at the time and needed to be categorical about his commitment to them in order to keep the team. Gruden is under no such constraints.

In any case, we believe different things and that's alright. In truth, as much as these rumours annoy me, I can't tear myself away.

So...just in case the Mayan's were right and Jon Gruden does turn down the UT job, who knows where a man can find a cheap mattress, diesel fuel, and a box of matches in Ktown?

Ok, I've officially had it with all these people saying "I know something, but can't tell you" or "Gruden is done. Just a matter of time". I'm not going to name names but we all know who they are.
Well, this is the thread to be held accountable and back up your big talk! If you have great information, post it here along with what you'll do if it isn't true!
IE, if you say "I'm neighbors with Dave Hart. He says its a done deal. If not, I'll post a video of myself wearing a Bama jersey while getting kicked in the nuts!"
Time to back up your talk and be held accountable!!
