Official Jon Gruden Thread XII

Not that this adds anything earth-shattering to what's already out there, but I can confirm that there are people in very high places in state government who think this is likely to happen. Just asked someone who occupies such a place if he had anything he could share, and he replied that a former governor who shall remain nameless told him last week that the deal "is almost done," but hadn't heard anything else this week. I personally won't believe anything is "done" until it's announced officially, but those posting who seem to think this whole thing is an internet troll job or a case of fans engaging in mass hysteria have no idea what they're talking about.

I listened to it, he basicly said they have not made him an offer yet, he clams up and changes the subject very quickly which may be a sign he knows more than he is letting on and does not want to say something he will regret like Saban did when he said i will not be the coach at Alabama.

No, he denied that an offer was made that included any ownership in the Browns, then said he was just trying to keep the job he has now, on to the upcoming MNF.

my accountant said the same thing. He told me that the amount of ecred would have as many zeros as the national debt. Then he gave me the catalog to show me what I could buy. It was either a bean bag chair or a brand new sony walkman cassette player.

I am torn...

Oh, the cassette player for sure. Have you ever sat in a bean bag chair with no pants on?

Skeeter is obviously mistaken. He might have seen Hart go into his office but he failed to notice the secret door that he left through! JMO, TIFWIW, there are only two keys to this door. One is Grudens and the other belongs to Hart. It's all so simple when you think like a conspiracy theorist.

So ... about those Gruden reports last night... Anyone still want to fight me on that?

Please be true, pleeeasee... I want to see Rucker get slammed.

Agree. It does seem that there is a legit effort being made to get Gruden on board. It also seems plausible that it could fall apart at any point, which is why nothing is being announced.

I guess I'm the only one that holds fast to the idea that nothing is going to get leaked/done until he gets that final check from Tampa Bay.
