Sorry if already discussed, been away for a few. They talked about the Arky offer to Les Miles on first take and at the end of the segment they said they had to throw out there that both Miles camp and Arky are denying those rumors. Stephen A and the rest of them all said, we know how this game works, plausible deniability. Exactly what Gruden did this am on Mike n Mike, deny deny deny until the presser.

does anybody have any info about somebody calling Cindy Gruden and leaving a rude or threatning message? How freakin stupid is that!!!!!!! Is there any truth to this?

So we all think over last few days news will break soon...story breaks out of Memphis(?)...then Gruden goes on M & M gets a question when you really listen to/ read is set up to deflect and he does...people this is part of it...please relax! So much incorrect info in the "leak" in Memphis that it is funny..again Please Relax!

I've thought about these things. His name will certainly come up every time there is a coaching vacancy in the NFL.

However, I think that he would go pro now if he really wanted to. If he's coming to Tennessee, it must be a personal decision as much as a professional one. That's why I think he would stick around a little while - at least until his kids are done with school. And during that period, I would hope that he returns Tennessee to prominence and subsequent coaching searches would involve the cream of the crop candidates.

As for his coaching style... it still is of a little concern to me how he would transition to the college game. I think it's definitely easier as opposed to going from college to pros, but it's still an unknown.

Im not worried about him blowing up, or getting fired up and yelling. Anyone remember an old basketball coach at Texas Tech who used to throw chairs onto the court and yell all the time...?? Bob Knight is one of if not THE greatest coach of all time. Gruden has the same intensity. Plus he won't be the only coach coaching, he will have talented guys beside him to get these guys ready.

What I'm trying to say is even IF we do get Gruden now, it's not like he's the saving grace of the program that everyone is trying to make him out to be... He is NOT a sure thing at the college level. Yes he's won a super bowl, yes his name alone would attract major positive attention to the program. However, Gruden is VERY intense and idk if kids will react to him very well or not. Also he is a PRO coach. Period there's no debating that one... He will have offers to coach at that level assuming he has some success here and I don't see him passing those opportunities up down the road. I would be just as excited as the next guy if we landed Gruden, but I do not see him as the long term and steady solution that we need

About as dumb as poisoning some oak trees. Don't put anything past that bunch.

That kind of style has obviously worked exceptionally well for Muschamp

As long as he stays for at least three recruiting classes, it would not matter if he leaves for an NFL gig. By that time, either on of his assistants will emerge as the hier apparent or the roster will be solid enough that people will be knocking the door down trying to get the job.

Or Manning will be ready!!!!

Everybody is going NUTS about a denial that was NOT made imho. The question asked Gruden was about the part ownership in the Browns to coach at UT... He did deny that...would have to anyway = NCAA, LOL

He did not address the Gruden to Tennessee rumor at all, but said "Let's talk about things pertaining to what Mike and Mike is all about"

Man the Knoxville media guys specifically on the Animal either they don't have a clue or they are doing a cover up for this thing I think the Athletic Department Has a major lid on this thing and they are putting out false info so these guys will report it that is all for now. Get GRUDEN
