I totally agree. It will probably get even worse if Hart doesn't make a move soon.

Just woke up and checked out the cliff notes and wow... All this is stressing me to the max! I understand he wouldn't release that on Mike and Mike, but at the same time it makes you think if all the people are right about Hart saying Gruden wasn't even a candidate.

Hopefully we will hear some good news on the radio to make us feel better, but I'm afraid most people are gonna buy into what Gruden said on Mike and Mike...

I'm afraid what my source said was true, he told me he was 95% sure Jimbo Fisher was going to be our next coach and that the Gruden thing fell through due to him wanting 10 years and we would only offer 5. This is coming from someone in "the know" as far as Jimbo goes (rhymes with Timmy Hexton).

OG's make us feel better! Thank you for all the info you all have posted! I have enjoyed reading all your alls posts! Lets hope we hear something good today (about Gruden) and if not today soon...

Are you serious? He must realize how big this has gotten throughout the fan base... you don't want a mad fan base, no matter what. (See Dooley fired for no one coming to games.)

If there was no truth to it you would come out and say you aren't pursuing him, and move on. You haven't done that.

I think you on this you have to read between the lines He did not come out and say he does not want the job and people should let this thing lye. He pretty much said that there was no deal in place and that he is trying to focus on announcing, sounds like a little more to this to me. Ive been bought and thats where im staying Bring on Gruden.

I think it is safe to say Jon Gruden is not coming here now. We continued to use the "he's not denying it" excuse. Now that he has denied the rumors, we are trying to rationalize it with, "well, what is he supposed to say. He can't admit it on his own network". It is time to move on. It was always a pipe dream. We sound just as crazy as the Arkansas fans now.

You think Hart doesn't know of the mania going in the Vol fanbase right now? Not saying anything is absolutely leading on the public. Agree to disagree on this one IT Crowd.

Gruden will deny just like any coach being ask the question. But the University is at risk if they are allowing a false rumor to perculate and refusing to rebuff it. It costs Gruden nothing - in fact, it gives him additional leverage with other opportunities (including is current gig at ESPN).
