The way he dismissed the rumors says a lot. He could've easily smilled and said he is flattered with the attention from the Vols, but he has no interest in coaching in college.......but, he didn't say it that way, which gives me greater confidence he's coming.

I have to say, Gruden was ruffled and seemed irritated. His response made it seem that they were too close to the truth for his comfort. His response made me think that either of these two options may be possible:

1. He is in talks with TN and doesn't want to discuss it.
2. He thinks it's not professional to talk about this stuff and was upset about it being brought up.

It's not like he released a statement saying he's not coming to UT. He was asked a question on LIVE tv. Of course he's going to say its false. What's he going to say? Yep I'm the new UT HC, just waiting on Hart to have the PC. Or, just working out the details, should be done soon. He said what he had to so let's chill.

Most posters know how skeptical I have been throughout all this. I only read the quotes and didn't see the show but the way i read them I am more confident this is happening. It read all too awkward to me. My excitement just went up

That should be the first sign of B.S. Like his wife and kids have no idea what's going on and are not part of the decision.

I will stay 100% Gruden until another coach has been named our coach....
Keep it positive the Grude is not passing us by :D
