Official Jon Gruden Thread XII

I am a little worried that once the Gruden story blows-up it will not only crash VolNation but also the internet in the Western Hemisphere if not the world.:ermm:

Good News...

The thing that bothers me about the memphis report is the part about : The NFL is looking into the potential conflict of owning a share of one team while getting money from another before the deal goes forward.

That screams Chris Mortenson(sp?) or Adam Schefter...those guys would be all over this imo.

As said earlier, the box is open and it has to be addressed now, so good news.

Unless they work where Gruden works and has had the "kybosh" put on them.

From what I understand, the possible ownership would become relevant after his "obligation" to UT is followed through.

Can anyone validate that?

Not understanding what gribble is trying to say?

@Josh_Ward: RT @Andrew_Gribble "Sorry, Jon, we actually can't offer you partial ownership of the Browns. But have you met our friend, The Sunsphere?"

He tried to make a funny joke.. But failed..

Basically trying to say that we'd give him anything to come here. Even pieces of the city of Knoxville. Terrible joke is terrible

Gruden, Les Miles, Pete Carroll.. what the ***** is going on in Arkansas fans heads? I dunno if I should just laugh or continue to sit in here in amazement at the stupidity of their fans base and how disconnected they are from reality based off a couple good seasons that resulted in zero hardware. Astonishing.

I probably just laughed way too hard at this.

It might kill the Internet and satellite communication simultaneously

Memphis Vol here. Carver is legit. He is arguably the best local sports reporter in Memphis. Like others have said, he has been in Memphis since 1984.

@John_ Infante has tweeted: Current NCAA rules would prohibit this Gruden-Browns nonesense unless the ownership stake was first donated to Tennessee.

Should not be a problem.

Not questioning you, but just wondering why you think that? Almost everything I've heard about him since he was hired has been good.

The fact that he did not pull the trigger on Dooley last year and in my opinion too late this year.

The fact that he is arrogant with NOTHING to back him up about his work at UT yet.

The fact that our luck has SUCKED for a while and nothing goes our way...

The questions I posed earlier are: Was Serrano, Hart's first hire? Was he an off the wall hire that no one saw coming? When the press found out, was it announce shortly after?
