Has any body seen this yet?
Knoxville, TN-News Channel 3 has learned former NFL coach Jon Gruden has a contract offer in hand from the University of Tennessee and a decision could be made as early as Wednesday. Part of the offer is Gruden getting a piece of the NFLs Cleveland Browns, who were recently bought by Jim Haslam, one of UTs biggest boosters who played on the Vols national championship teams in the early fifties. Hes also the father of Tennessee governor Bill Haslam. A potential hangup could be over money Gruden may be owed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from his stint as head coach there that ended in 2008. The NFL is looking into the conflict of owning part of one team while getting money from another. Gruden is currently working as an NFL analyst for ESPN. He started his coaching career in 1986 as a graduate assistant at Tennessee where he met his wife, a former UT cheerleader. Grudens two head coaching stints in the NFL were with Oakland and Tampa Bay. He coached the Bucs to a Super Bowl win in the 2002 season.
Take it for face value! My son was being recruited by the former staff, and has been left in the dark, although only a sophomore. Not an over reaction, I'm tired of all the he said she said smart crap on this board! I think we ALL want Gruden, but people like u with ur smart comments, make me want to stay away! I'm passing along FREE INFO that I am trying to provide to fellow Vols! Like I said, as soon as I see it, I'll copy and paste. Just remember to eat ur crow if I do!
And I say I bid the farewell good sir!
Off topic but why does Clay Travis dislike Arkansas so much? He is REALLY knocking them right now on Twitter.

The best thing about the Arkansas coaching search in Twitter age is the nation realizing how delusional Arkansas fans are.

Arkansas fans respond to all questions by talking about Wal-Mart money. As if they're the only school with billionaire boosters.

Arkansas has had seven months to hire a new coach and offers $27 million to Les Miles? This is just outstanding comedy.

I have a question about the ownership part. Would him owning part of a team (if it's during his time as the UT Coach), have any implications with the NCAA as a violation, since that's part of the NFL??
