Phil Knight is worth 13.1 billion as of September 2012
Charlie Ergen is worth 9 billion as of September 2012

Add in Jim Haslam and Charles Anderson and we would crush Phil Knight...just saying

It's a little different with Knight, because his company and it's worth (which is huge), is also directly tied to college athletics. Meaning, it can essentially write off new training facilities, equipment, deals, etc (which it has). Oregon kind of can have its cake and eat it too.

Not saying we don't have money, but there aren't any schools that Oregon is going to struggle to compete with money-wise.

Awww, I got put on ignore cause I hurt a poor widdle Gwudenite's feewings!!!!

#grudenisGARBAGE

I'd rather have the HFC at Fayetteville HS (throwing that one out cause I lived there as a kid) coaching the Vols than Jon Gruden. However, keep on keeping on, lemmings....IF Gruden is hired (which is looking far less likely as the days go by, or so I keep praying to every deity that's ever been recognized), he WILL change your tune, ladies and gentlemen......and I'll be sitting in the corner laughing at all of you.

Nice post there Richard Head.

Why?

I haven't taken the time to read many of your posts. Although why would Gruden not be a good hire? I am curious on what your gut tells you on why he wouldnt cut it?

Whoa! First stop here today...was being productive at work...what is this about Gundy now?
Have the OGs ruled out Gruden???

Also, I saw the Cliff Notes about a presser on Friday at 3...any insiders know about it or can confirm it?

Thank you.

I gets tiresome defending yourself constantly around here.

None of my fellow OG's ever come to my defense. LMAO!

What is your point? I'm still not sure. He's already one of the highest paid coaches in the country, and he turned down an NFL gig last year. If he leaves, it's to go to the NFL. Not because we're going to pay him more than Oregon.

Tennessee Basketball presented by Dish Network?

Of course they can compete, but you were writing the possibility off because WE can't compete with THEM.

And that's false.

Ok just got here this morning and this place done went crazy. What has happened since last night???? (other than people went nutz)

He was talking about what would happen if Gruden came here and sucked.

Oh, sorry. I missed that. I am all worked up this morning.:)

On that note, hiring Gruden is not just getting a coach, but it is a statement.

It immediately puts the Tennessee brand back out there.

If, by some crazy chance, he didn't do well, then we would still be better off.

Kiffin bolting and then hiring Dooley made us look like a second tier school.

If Gruden accomplishes anything here, it will be to make people forget about all that.

:eek:lol:

Yeah, the NFL loves the spread option and 3-2-6 defensive alignments.

He's not coaching in the NFL. Period. Ever.

...and if he did by some chance coach in the NFL it wouldn't be for long.
