Official Jon Gruden Thread XI

Wrote out one completely. "Knoxville Gruden Style" VFL94 and I (with a few friends) plan on shooting it on campus this weekend. Hopefully, it can hit YouTube soon after an announcement is made.

Has to be better than that homo Hey Grude song done by Ark fans. That is the only requisite.

Do not listen to the media who say anything close to, "Dave Hart told me...," or "This is Tennessee's Top-5" or "Gruden is not coming for a fact."

Any journalist/reporter/etc reporting this way is essentially a puppet for Hart and the AD and Hart knows it and is using that. Look no further than the "full disclosure" comment made recently. Do you honestly think Hart is going to be 100% forthcoming with every step of what he's taking. Come on.

The truth is, in this search, (which hasn't been a search at all), nothing official will come from the AD until Gruden is ready to take the podium. Any Knoxville media member reporting that they have been told by the AD that Gruden is not coming, only substantiates the above misdirection.

Again, what we are seeing are two different groups of people with two completely different stories. The "official" AD people saying it's not happening--even to the point of some pretty severe misdirection in the form of throwing out names like Dykes, Cutcliffe and Petrino--three people whom you would NEVER see here. The AD people are trying waaaaay to hard to misdirect what has been going on and has been in place for weeks now.

The second group we are seeing are people that are connected to the ones that really have spearheaded this deal--the major money players. In searches like this one, with all the misdirection and closed lips from the AD, this is the group that it is feasible to assume are telling more of the truth than the first group. This wasn't the case during the Hamilton searches--Hamilton and his people could not keep a secret. It appears Hart is much better at doing this, so information will not come from the, and definitely NOT from the Knoxville media. Pay them no attention.

Good post. Whats your timeframe. siap

I just don't see them waiting til mid December to announce JG. That date gives him a few days to talk to recruits before everything goes silent until after the new year. Of course if it isn't JG then yeh obviously we'll be waiting until everybody's seasons are over and conference championship games have been played.

Yes, but if it is known to the AD that this is what's up, Graham and Hinshaw can relay the message of patience to the recruits.

I guess this week is what will tell the tale. If Graham and other assistants are going to be telling recruits whats up then it's going to eventually leak to everybody.

Ok guys, I wanted to clarify something I said a minute ago. There is a pst in the cliff notes today at 5:30pm(ish) that said this:

"I heard that a UT media personnel has now been granted full disclosure within the athletic department.

Simply put. This means you will now be hearing or reading the coverage as soon as tomorrow."

Adams' article came out shortly after that, so I made the leap that this "disclosure" that volreporter mentioned in the post was starting to happen. :mf_surrender:

Hubbs is basically saying nothing will happen this week and all the interviewing will take place Sunday-Tuesday of next week.

Keep in mind, this is the company line.

Don't believe it for a second. Hart values his job (or so I would guess) way too much to wait to interview people until next week. This just adds to what everyone is saying about the media being used as a smokescreen! It's official. I'm on the Grudenite bandwagon.

Just watched the coaches show and I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a little emotional. I'm proud of the seniors. They went through a mess but it appears brighter days are ahead.
