I don't think it's the right hire either. There are a lot of people I would call before Petrino, his moral track record notwithstanding. But I wasn't invited on the search committee :)

Hesitant to even post this, but a family member was at a booster meeting this weekend and had multiple people tell him the deal with Gruden is done. Same timeline and money everyone has been saying, announced on November 30th.

From most of the booster's standpoints they think they have him, so I hope they know what they are saying. On my side I still have to see Gruden standing with Hart accepting the job.

So TIFWIW but I figured hearing the same info I have been seeing here helped ease my mind a bit. It may come back and bite me, but I am hoping Friday we are introducing our new coach.

Ok... Holy Crap! I just read the cliff notes and been off here for a while. Are Rucker and LWS now leaning towards Gruden? What did LWS say exactly? He had been down playing this a lot, if he gives any idea that its Gruden that's huge!

I listen to his show every evening on the way home. It's been a while back, but; he wasn't on board at first with Gruden coming here. He just didn't believe it would/could happen. It was around the 15th of this month IIRC, that he broke it on the show that he was in for Gruden coming. He said his source gave him no doubt it's highly possible.
