Speaking of UK, I wonder what direction they are going in? This is going to sound made up, but I went to one of the Wildcat football forums last week. Users online at the time I was on? Fourteen, including one 'guest'..me...they love their football up there

In 5 days all the mandatory interviews should be complete and then the coach can be announced. They've had their guy for a while now. I wonder who it is...

Wonder why Phillip Fulmer has never landed another coaching job, his overall record was solid just his last few years were rough. A few years back I thought he would take the Kentucky job, Randy Sanders was already there.

I don't think Phil want to coach at this time or he would be. Like him or not, his record speaks for itself. Now back to Gruden.

He made the statement that it would be more like him interviewing the university instead of him being interviewed.

Arky IMO, but Fedora, strong, and fisher are not bad coachs. They are just not as exciting as gruden.

Lowe and Bryce on "The Nation" are again poo pooing the Gruden talk.

Thing is, they say they expect UT to hire someone in the next two weeks. And when pressed to offer who they think the coach will be, they sound pretty clueless.

So we're going to find, interview, and hire a coach within the next week or so, but they don't have a solid opinion on who it will be.

Two weeks was really going out on a limb too!

Yes. With a kid it's hard to imagine he stays. Priorities change when you have a child. He'd have to slip way down people's draft boards for there to be a chance of him staying. And even then, I don't see it.

If Gruden is not by chance hired I would not mind to see Fulmer, Martin, Channey, Chavis Graham here with a couple of other solid coaches. I think Fulmer wants back in and would be coaching like he was when he started not when he left. He talks like he has the fire back in him. with that said let there be no doubt Gruden is my first choice

Very simple difference.

A Gruden hire would get Volnation all excited about the program.

A Fulmer hire would divide Volnation.

There are fans that love Phil.
There are fans that blame Phil for the downfall of the program.

Gruden would be a great hire
Fulmer would be a terrible hire.

Tragic.
