Would you look at this. Maybe we'd better re-evaluate the Caddy rumors. :p

That is awesome! Peyton!!

Starting to wonder if all the Gruden talk that the some of the Vol faithful is hearing with Haslam is not for Tennessee but for Cleveland. With Holmgren departing the Browns they are possibly looking for a new coach in Gruden. With his hire he is wanting complete control. That would make more sense in the NFL than in College. In college you choose your assistants and players. Where in NFL the owners try to have a say in who gets hired with players and coaches.

Would have been more likely if Holmgren was still there in some capacity, as Gruden formerly coached under him.

Gruden 100% and I will stick with that until someone else is introduced as the new coach!!
My thoughts are yeah Gruden comes with a high price tag ....but its like buying into a brand with this guy....and I feel like he could go into many kids living rooms and for sure fire them up about becoming a VOL!!

btw....newbie here from Gruden Station.....and I would like to say howdy to all the fellow Vol fans !

Welcome!

First of all they use to play at the Orange Bowl which is not the Sun Life stadium. The HEAT as a basketball team were not good, and the population diversity at the university has changed dramatically since the 80's.

Huh? I was refuting your assertion that an empty stadium had nothing to do with how well Al Golden coaches and the product he puts on the field. I believe it does and that it is very basic common sense.

And now I have no idea what you're talking about.

Does fans really think the money Tennessee received by academics and Rumors about, Dishnetwork owner,Jim Haslam and Peyton helping out that we hire Golden or Smart? I think it is Boosters and students money and Boosters will play a very big part in a great hire. I got a feeling that some good news this week on Gruden will come out and be official. I think there is too much talk about Gruden and no one else to not hire him. I don't think it will be a 10 year contract. I think contract will be 5-7 years and around 4.5-5.5 million.

Just my weekly installment of espn insider-

Says Golden is a fish out of water in Miami, (you think?) may be looking to get out, but believed BC a much better fit (think he coached there in some capacity?) BC apparently interested.
Also states that Petrino likely ends up at Auburn. Tifwiw....
