If you look back at his other two threads he out parenthesis around specific letters. If I recall correctly it was c, o, and I. That last line has some sort of riddle in it so maybe he is trying be mysterious?? Thoughts?

If that is true, look for three more posts from him with t,u,and s.

Politely, Sir I wasn't asking you directly or close insiders simply anyone that had info pertaining to tomorrow

I am not sure. I think a couple of the "drive-by" posters said Monday, and Leroy Snot insists it is Tuesday.

Everybody else is leaning towards Friday.

I myself would actually be surprised if it was announced this week, no matter what.

Of course, I would absolutely love to be wrong about that.

I'm sick of it. I'm not saying that any of the guys offering info are trolling or anything like that. I honestly believe they are telling us what they hear. This constant roller coaster ride is getting tiring. If its Gruden, announce it already. My faith has run out and I am firmly in the believe it when I see it category.

The best way to look at it is just to look at the info out there, use some common sense and wait to see what happens. We will be in a better spot now than 3 years ago on the sideline, in the trenches, and within the program when we make the hire. That's what is important to me right now.
Too much to get worked up about and we don't truly know which coaches we hire will be successful or not.

I'd like to believe that, but there just aren't many good ones out there.

Which is exactly why Gruden is in, until he says no.

Any suggestion by anybody that we are not aiming for Gruden, or that we have gone a different direction is absurd.

The only way we do not get Gruden is if he says no.

I did not mean to come off so short, it is just that we get these same questions all day on this thread where someone wants to know if anyone knows anything and as soon as someone does speak up it is like a shark feeding frenzy in here. No one is willing to express their opinion on dates, times and precise information because we actually do not have that.

We only have general information.... DocVol or is it VolDoc..I still get the confused (ha ha) has said tomorrow I think.

At this point the only way we know a precise date imho.... is when the pressor is announced publicly

Yeah anytime would be great. As Georgia and Bama prepare for now. They also in the back of their minds have to ponder their future with Gruden in the league.

OK, I can't believe that I just wasted 3 minutes of my life that I'll never get back, but per a quick check of his 15 (so far) posts under this screen name, the letters in parenthesis are I - T - S - C - O. If he tossed in some more that didn't get included in the underlined bits found via search function, my bad. :hi:

Sheesh, I feel like I'm 8 years old reading Nancy Drew mysteries again.
Fan of Nancy Drew...so here we go! I-T-S-C-O..........could mean IT's CO.........is there a premo coach with the initials CO?
Lol. Wanna play? :lolabove::loco:

Check out the S & W line of 38's , particularly the airweight models that shoot +p ammo. Bought my woman one recently. Nice pistol, really like the hammer less design for drawing, and +p is pretty damn powerful. I carry an xdm myself, I like having 20 round ready as fast as I can pull the trigger. He'll if I'm not accurate at least it will scare the piss out of em!

Thanks Sto! Looking more for a target shooter than a carry piece. Really like the Smith revolvers had a few over the years and they never fail. Looked at Taurs do to price, but.....not crazy aboutem. Carry a Glock 19 myself.

Waiting is tiring and aggravating...of course, I am impatient by nature

Doc VOL or VOL Doc I am confused now too!...said today that his source now says most likely Friday.

As far as the issue of you not asking me directly, that is correct, but you asked no one directly...and simply said

Tommorrow???

That is in itself a general statement to anyone in hearing distance... that would include me.

First of all, let me make it very clear that I am in no way trying to discredit or even disagree with Lex's list of information. He is obviously very well respected and even more importantly a respectful poster. Heck, given the confidence I have in my sources...his posts, like others, make me think hard about the information I receive...sometimes it makes me think twice about it. We do not know each other but we onviously know people in the same crowds. Perhaps one day we will.

Secondly, I have several sources of information that range from the Haslem camp, a former player, relatives of former players, colleagues in the sports television industry, friends that own and operate businesses in the Knoxville and Nashville restaurant and bar industry that are friends of their regular customers that come from Board of Trustees, members of the UTAD community and former players. I think that's it. Lol

It's not hard to have access to information coming directly from very real and legitimate sources.

Having said that, every time I hear something from each angle, there is a variation in each story. Not every single variable aligns exactly or perfectly. Everyone of these people I have within this network of sources are intelligent, unassuming adults that do not make chit up. They all care about the University of Tennessee and are very emotional about it, just like all of us are. They just happen to be well connected in a variety of ways.

As this information comes to me, I see correlations that do line up that bring an undeniable set of common denominators. Ultimately, it turns into a melting pot of information, very similar to the OG's Cliff Notes. In fact, it's so close...it's scary.

Therefore I have no reason to exploit any one story, only to conclude that there is a lot of truth in a lot of areas...sprinkled with some doubt, gossip, and perhaps some miscommunications.

I believe that the upper hands in the top of the UT food chain will see this through. That's common sense, because they have been through this times before and are sick of losing just like the rest of the fan base. No one with heart and passion likes to lose. They have, at the very least, a very indicative model that is foreshadowing what could happen if we let this opportunity (Gruden) slip away AGAIN!!! Reiterating Lex's thoughts, there are only a handful of folks that know EXACTLY what is going on...which is in our favor, because the majority of those people want to the same thing...a head coach named Jon Gruden. I believe that at the end of the day, power, money, influence and majority rule....Gruden wins!!!

The Dooley hiring saga was explained to me last night in acute detail. As I understood the conversation, he was actually #9 on the list of coaches that was developed as Kiffin was packing his bags. After having these same types of bumps in the road with our top 4-5 candidates, they bailed out. So, specific boosters ended up flying to Maryland to interview Randy Edsall. He was very interested and so was UT. These said boosters flew to Maryland to meet with coach Edsall only to get completely blown off. He didn't even show up to the scheduled meeting. He signed to be HC of the Maryland Terrapins a short time later. After that development, two or three more coaches bailed off UT's list and we were left staring at the #9 person on that list...Derek Dooley.

Do you really think the big hands that ultimately control UT are going to let that happen again....I personally, do not. We shall see.

I intentionally input my comparing and contrasting info nest to Lex's in parenthesis as to compare or contrast each point. Not to debate only to compare notes...that is it.

Lastly, is like to note that this group of OG's have stuck their necks out to provide very informative information to this forum and thread. It's amazing and indicative of how important this is to ALL OF US!! They have been super generous and taken a lot of heat from skeptics and doubters only to stand in their pool of information never doing anything but supporting this fan base. Thank you to all of you that have provided any piece (large or small) of this complex jigsaw puzzle. I think what we are looking at is an almost complete puzzle with a few more pieces missing...but the artwork in the puzzle is very clear.

Go Big Orange!!!!! Gruden baby!!

Wow, at some point after #5 or #6 on the list, I would think saying it was too late and making Kippy Brown interim coach for the next season and then beginning the search the following fall might be a better option.

Yep. I actually think that Petrino will end up there, seriously.

Its a match made in heaven.

I like Petrino as a coach in principle...but with his history and the situation they're in right now, the combo of the two would be combustible, to say the least. We could witness the complete disintegration of a program
