Gruden will be announced friday because it will be a huge story and the talk during the SEC championship for some good Tennessee exposure

4. There are some big boosters who still don't think Gruden is a possibility (found this out on Thanksgiving Day). One is a big spender, but not among those most discussed frequently on this board.


Here is what I think:
1. Dave Hart needs credit for the hire.
2. Even if things were signed, we have always been on Gruden's timetable.
3. If a deal is not signed by now, I doubt that it is Gruden.
4. I still think it is done and we will hear soon.
5. Most of the stuff linked from the AD including the coaching list, is bunk.

Way to go Wilson.... I am still believing the OG's on this most are at 100%.... I would say Lex in 80-90% and Bcarter says 99%

That is pretty good odds... haven't done the odds but add all the OG's together and I think we still have a 4.0 average...LOL

I know baby...that is just the difference between what I've heard....what I know...and what I think. I've don't like dealing with absolutes when it comes to UT football. It is one of the reasons I don't follow recruiting that much...until recruiting day rolls around.

So you think UT would sacrifice an extra week of exposure to potentially lure recruits just to make a big story during the SECCG?

I understand but the OG's are giving the board absolutes.

I think Lex nailed it as close as one can tell it on here without naming names. Dooley and Gruden are friends, I still feel Jon did not want to be announced days after Dooley was terminated out of respect for their friendships.

Could it be that the deal is signed, and we don't know it? Why wouldn't they announce, though?

Look at the list of potential targets. There is not a large pool of candidates out there that would be appropriate for UT.

I never thought for a second that we had "cooled" on Gruden..Too much had happened for that to be the case.

The negas imo just like coming in here and starting sh*t because the JG threads have stolen the thunder from the FF forum. If you've listened to Boro and they boyz since day one and read lex's opening post in this thread, its hard to imagine Gruden isn't our new HC!!
