I know many are pretty anxious right now and getting impatient but here is my take from a non insider but longtime UT fan. The longer they do not dismiss gruden I become more confident, he is the most consistent name mentioned but those aren't my personel reasons for being confident. Gruden has a history at UT and mony close friends, if he was wanting to leverage he could have easily used arkie but he quickly dismissed them. He nor his agent or UT have ever discarded the notion that gruden was interested in coming, in fact gruden has been interested in the college game. I actually think Gruden wants the job, I don't think he would use leverage with UT at this time. UT has to make this right and unite this fanbase. Hart and Cheek will be heroes along with everyone else involved!! GO VOLS GET IT DONE!! WE WANT GRUUUUDEN!!!!!:rock:

At that point, hopefully we'll have a coach the following week after the conference championship games and hopefully it is a proven college HC i.e. Stoops or Patterson.

Yeah, IMO if we don't hear by Tuesday, then Gruden decided not. I though we might hear something today, until it was tweeted he was in Philly, so probably Tuesday or nothing.

Coaching candidates I presume. If there really is a search going on he would be out talking to people. The most ethical thing to do no, but if you think anyone is playing by the rules get real.

Has anyone heard or read anything new, since Boro speculated something might leak w/i 48 hours, which didn't happen as far as I know. I'll hang up and listen, Thanks..

I don't believe I've seen OV set a date, and Boro made it VERY clear that the 48hr remark was nothing more than personal specilation. I believe he did say that he was hearing the 30th

And I would like to add espn insider live on tv today did not dismiss it either.

Hence, the art of being an "insider". Always leave an out. If Gruden doesn't happen, the excuses and backtracking in this forum should be epic.

Exactly. Boro said IN HIS OPINION, not from a source, that is COULD leak within 48hrs because of who knows in the media. He never said it WOULD leak within 48hrs. Folks keep leaning on this 48hrs as if it was stated as fact. It wasn't.

If they fail to secure Gruden, Strong, Stoops, Fisher, Golden, etc. and bring Butch Jones in, people will flip their $hit. He is/was in for the KY and shouldn't even be on our radar.

He didn't dismiss arky.. He doesn't ever publicly dismiss anybody.
