Fulmer is still the best name.

I like to make the Fulmer Haters try to explain their collective hatred. It usually boils down to he should have won every game. Which could be said of every coach.
I can't imagine he would even come back. I would assume he is retired. But while he was a coach here he ran a record setting offense for Majors and set records as a head coach. Won a couple of league titles and the first BCS title. 100 more wins than losses. That resume stacks up well anywhere in the pantheon of college coaching. And it is fine with me too.
Hope the next guy can win even bigger and better than Fulmer did. And then set his sights on Neyland. That is my opinion on what is "good enough for Tennessee". Thanks for asking. :peace2:

That makes sense. I don't hate the guy; I just hate the idea of rehiring him (or someone like Cutcliffe/Chavis). I don't think we need to rely on familiar coaches in order to be successful.

I appreciate your response, though; it's a good one.

If Tennessee brought back Fulmer with the understanding he would keep the current offensive staff and that he could persuade Chavis to come back, would you be upset. All of this is on the premise that Gruden is no longer an option.

I would start rooting for Bama and Vandy.

I would be disappointed, but not scratching my head and saying WTF, like I did when Dooley was hired,
