Got this from Football Scoop.com today...
Tennessee: Sources tell us that Jon Gruden remains the primary target. Although we have not verified, sources tell us that Gruden, among other things, has requested a $4 million salary pool for his assistants. Not sure how that works out but we are told that Tennessee will be having discussions with Butch Jones as well.

Spurrier was here on a tac plane 2 weeks ago seen at the airport by my buddy his text said he got in a black suburban. I told him to take with a grain of salt he still has family here and he is from Jefferson City. I think Steve will stay were he at until he retires, If by some chance they really had him here to interview it would be because they new he would turn them down like he has in the past, so UT can say they interviewed other coaches.nothing surprises me at this point back to Gruden!!!!

Spurrier is from Johnson City (played at Science Hill High School), not Jefferson City. There is an airport in the Tri-Cities that services the Johnson City-Bristol-Kingsport region, so it's unlikely that he would fly into Knoxville for a visit home.
