Yes and tell me why he would. He was not successful and his biggest complaint was lack of control and being able to demand the players to do what he wanted. Which happens to be every NFL team. He gets everything he wants at UA.

Saban will retire at UA. He has nothing else to prove. But keep hoping.:hi:

There will always be a draw to the NFL I think. If a nfl job really does over him 6plus mil.. he would def listen. No doubt

Really how many of our coordinators are now HC besides CJM?

I'm not trying to be an ass, but I just don't care. I'm tired of hearing about Alabama. You all will win another championship this year and probably another one next year. Good for you all. Just tired of it. Tired of seeing people around Knoxville wearing Alabama gear and sporting cute little "A" license tags with houndstooth backgrounds. Just tired of it. Tired of it. Ya'll take Smart. We better not.

So, the situation he had at Miami is how it would be at all the other 31 teams in the NFL if he chose to go back?

Of course he gets everything he wants at Bama and has a very good gig. And of course through the eyes of a Bama fan he would never leave that cushy spot. But he's a competitor with a huge ego and has won multiple BCS titles at his current job and might win another this year. You think he wouldn't want to feed that ego even more and go dominate the Big 12 at Texas? Or if what he thought (not you) was a great opportunity to succeed in the NFL came along, he wouldn't take it?

Take off the blinders, TW...he's not staying at Bama the rest of his career. Ain't happening.

The same Alabama fans that were in hiding b4 saban

Yeah! Although I would describe them as the same Alabama fans that didn't exist at all before Saban. Gator fans previously. Anyhow, whatever. People can cheer for whoever they want. I'm not a football Nazi. It's still sickening to me though. When I see UT maintenance/landscapers wearing Alabama hats on the job, I know we have something seriously awry at this university. Something needs to change, and fast.

Funny that TW wants to say Gruden isn't good for UT. Don't listen to the BS.

Like Saban saying Dooley and Chizik are doing good jobs. Yeah okay......

Saying Super Bowls don't equal BCS championships because his coach can't cut the mustard with the big boys. Sure...........

And please keep Bo Pelini and Butch Jones off the UT sideline. Pelini isn't a good fit for UT at all to me.

I have heard the same thing now since Saban won in 2009 the BCS. So it really does not bother me. Rival fans continue to justify and make an arguement that he will leave. I heard the same thing in the spring of 2010, 2011, 2012, and probably will again in 2013.

And if for some reason he does not retire at UA we are in great shape roster wise and UA will get whoever they want as our next HC and doubt it will be a coordinator. Any coach in the country would jump at a vacency at UA right now. Not to mention the AD at UA has demonstrated it will give a HC whatever they need to win and coach the program.:hi:

No different in western NC where you no longer see the Power T flying on porches as I use to all the time. Every fan base has them.

I thought Pelini would have better success moving to the big10. My friend is a diehard neb fan and hates BP.

To bad you can not read. Please find a post where I said Gruden was not a good coach or good for UT. All I said is Gruden would worry me because of the lure of the NFL. I did say however he would be a great hire for UT.

You must have been beat up when a little kid by some other kid wearing UA gear because of all the hatred you have for the program. Because you act like those posters on the Bunker. Take the tinfoil hat off and actually read what people post.

Of course he didn't leave in '10, '11, he had only been at Bama for a few years. He's been there now, what 5-6 years? He was at MSU and LSU for 5 years and Miami wasn't his first time coaching in the NFL. He might stay at Bama, he is 61 years old, I'm just saying I think its MUCH more likely he takes another job before he's done. And he's never stayed somewhere longer than 5-6 years. JMO IMO TIFWIW

Better success? They're 10-2 & playing in the B1G title game, I wish we had a coach that I hated yet still won 10 games & 9+ every year.

Have you seen the big 10 this year???? And Ohio state isn't eligible.. or they wouldn't be in the CCG (correct me if I'm wrong)

6 years now at UA and the longest he has ever stayed at one program. And yes if Saban was younger I could see it but I am not even sure he will coach another 5 before retiring. Some UA fans think until he is 70 but who knows.

If he ever left I would think it would be for the NFL just because he has nothing to prove at the college level anymore. But again I think he retires at UA in the next 5 years.

Stop it........Basically you've insinuated that Gruden wouldn't be a good fit here with your comments. I stay in Bama around "actual" Alabama fans so my hatred is pretty much warranted.

I don't know why you come over here talking about Saban isn't going anywhere. He'll leave here soon. Teams have caught up to Saban. He's a bully of a coach that's why he'll never make it as an NFL coach.

I'm sorry, TW. You're a good poster. I'm just in an ornery mood today. I'm just tired of it. You won't have to hear another word from me this year. Enjoy your 15th championship. You all are the best team, and I'm not just fooling.

Yeah, you're right. See that Atlanta Braves A now.

I think it is hard for any fan in another state or cfb programs backyard to sport gear if the program is not successful. I was just in ETN and people still fly the power T. I catch grief all the time hear in Chapel Hill for the UA gear and where I live continue to hear the whines of the Big 10 alum that are currently my neighbors.

You're wrong, Ohio State is in the other division.

Pelini has been a coach for 5 years, has played in a conference title game twice, won or tied a division 4 out of his 5 years. Nebraska fans can hate him all they want but he is winning there, they should shut their mouths.

I took nothing personal from it and enjoy your post.:hi:

And UA still has 2 tough games to go before we can think of the BCS game.

I responded to a post regarding Saban and his tenure, did not start the dialogue.

And just because you assume to be an expert in breaking down the true meaning of what I say does not mean you are.

Again I think Gruden would be a great hire and really hope that the future 3rd weekends in Oct determine the national title game.:hi:
