I'm tired of people calling college football players kids! These dudes are 18 to 22, 23 year old young men! Sometimes up to 26 to 28 years old! They are NOT kids!!!

I watched Peyton Manning vomit all over himself and pass out at a party at the Fiji House in 1996. In 1997 Al Wilson was dragged out of my condo at 2am by John Chavis drunk and high as hell. Its a college experience thing and is not exclusive to non athletes. It doesn't mean anything to party in college, its bigger than that. Those that suffer from it most likely suffer in other areas that cost them their career.

Great post. I was not an athlete, but when I was at UT (04-08) I drank 3-4 times a week and still managed dean's list all 8 semesters.

Partying doesn't make you neglect all your other responsibilities. It can if you let it, but exploring that freedom is part of the college experience and if you're gonna try to tell your athletes they can't party, enjoy all your 2 star recruits.
