Question the timing of the release all you want, there are many moving parts in this that had to be worked through. Take assurance in knowing that Gruden has had his name pop up for every college and Pro job opening the past 4 years but never has ESPN ever thought about taking those rumors to select a replacement for Jon until now.

If Hyams is wrong and many things have lead me to believe he is then he needs to go. I really do hope he is ready to get thrown into the fire, eat crow, and get crucified by every vol van or coach he ever talks to again for being wrong on just about everything he reports. just my thoughts Get Gruden.

I am not an insider and do not claim to be but yesterday I got some third hand info. One of my friends patients came in and started talking Tennessee. It turns out that he works in the governors office and is very close with the Haslams. He said that Gruden signed yesterday ( I assume an MOU). That's all of the information that I could get out of him. Just thought I would pass that along.

did hyams lose his connections when fulmer got put out to pasture?

since as though he has been bitter and cranky since Kiffen came in. I have gotten the impression that L Kiffen did not care for him and neither did Dooley..

I don't see that anywhere over there. It definitely wasn't in the WR, and I don't even see it in the GQ. Only thing I see is in the GQ, and it's just someone posting the same Hyams quote. No idea why people are claiming Hubbs said Gruden is out.
