It's been stated a thousand times over but it all comes down to who you choose to believe. I have no inside info and really have no real way of knowing who does. I do know this however. By allowing these Gruden rumors to run rampant this long, Hart has placed himself atop a powder keg of epic proportions. If he announces a Golden type hire, the whole damned thing is going to blow.

Look, I have deep respect for Larry. But he said the AD would NEVER be willing to spend money because it's not the Tennessee way. He also said, repeatedly, that Smart would be Hart's priority target. Both of those have turned out not to be true. It doesn't mean Larry has bad info, necessarily, but that things change. And things are changing now.

So my question to you is. If you feel Gruden is a 10% chance and if after that you fall to like Al Golden because others feel looked over or ignored. Would you rather take someone like Stoops now if they said I will 100% take the job. Or hold out for your guy and hope there is no free fall. I want Stoops bad but if 10% are my chances then I would see what Stoops says.

For me it takes a lot more courage to put the info out there then the harm from people who want to doubt everything they say. No one who has posted "insider" info is a kid looking for e-cred.

Aside from all the great info here, I just know that Gruden is the next VOLS coach. My stomach is full of butterflies thinking of our future. I'm an old sailor and I have an iron gut; I drink tap water in Tijiuana with ground glass for flavor without problems, so it has to be real! IJS
