There is a lot of confusion out there when it comes to the hiring process. For example, there is no NCAA rule concerning interviewing a monority candidate.

"Does the NCAA have anything like the NFL’s “Rooney Rule?” The “Rooney Rule” is a National Football League policy requiring teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching positions. Legally, the NCAA can’t adopt such a rule. The NFL is a for-profit business that is legally able to draft and enforce such policies. In contrast, the NCAA is a non-profit and voluntary member association which can’t influence individual campus hiring practices. However, in early 2008, Division I athletics directors recognized the problem and adopted hiring guidelines similar to the “Rooney Rule.” While voluntary, peer pressure plays a major role in ensuring schools comply with these guidelines. The main focus, however, should be getting minority coaches hired, not just interviewed."

From where does the 3 candidtate policy originate?

Yeah my son is upset. Hasn't ever seen a horse colic. Much less his own horse. He's very attached so it bothers him to see her in pain.

Your 3 month old. I feel you guys and your little man.

Sorry man i read your post all wrong ... I thought you miss spelled feeling with filly... you were talking about a horse wow... anyways hope everything turns out ok!

Up till a year or two ago, Pappy was using Stitzer-Weller (Old Fitz) juice, and aged it for sale in 15, 20, and 22 year age groups. I think they are buying Buffalo Trace white dog now. Best bourbon I've ever tasted, except for A H Hirsch (which you can't get anymore). Love my bourbon but hate Wildcats!

I've been drinking some Willett tonight as a matter of fact

This may be normally true, but I believe Kiffin quit Jan 12th and Dooley was hired Jan 15th (3 days later).
I read an explanation (ncca rule) concerning that before but now I cannot find where it was posted. I am almost 100% positive someone answered this here before. I will see if I can find it. :good!:

Car ride, everyone says car ride. didn't work for me. However, I put my son in a bassinette, on top of the dryer, turned the dryer on and could get some peace for a while. God Bless, and it gets better.

All true, however it is pretty normal for all of this to happen after an offer has been made and accepted for said position.

That may not be the case here, but Gruden can accept and work under an MOU while all the legalese is worked out.

Also, the interviews can be phone interviews. They do not have to be in person.

You are obviously one of the most knowledgable people around here so I don't want to seem like I am disagreeing, rather, I don't want people to get freaked out over nothing.

I thought a lot of coaches start out under an MOU so they can hit the ground running. Plus, with most universities being state run, it takes a minute to get 'em done.

A lot will depend on the assistant coaches brought in. Many will have relationships already built in. Also, the staff will build off of the relationships this staff built, or tried to.

I think recruiting will see a huge up lift. My biggest concern is whether CJG has had time to review film and determine which recruits fit his system and he wants here. Also, the one on one interviews with the recruit that other coaches have already had to determine if the personalities fit. JMHO.

I would think that if J Graham is retained, that Gruden will rely heavily on Graham's input, especially since Hart put Graham basically in charge of recruiting for the time being.
