According to tax returns, Weis didn't get any money from Notre Dame in 2011 when he coached at UF when they had it showed up in 2010. Maybe he can't get the money if he rejoins college football or it may just no show up. ND is tricky and there is really no way to confirm it either way.I have heard Gruden got somewhere over 20 mil. Could be around 25 , but I'm not sure. Who got more doesn't even matter. The thing is , Weis didn't have anything in his contract that said he would lose money if he coached at a different place. If it did , he would never have taken a job , much like Gruden did not. Bottom line is... Gruden isn't coming here until he gets his last check. I also don't think he gives a damn who looks around either. Recruits will be there in December. Do you really think he is sitting at his house upset about a high school kid geting offers from Oregon? People need to be patient.
Recruiting is about relationships, and we have the early enrolee signing period in less than a month which are going to involve some very good players and is loophole for signing over 25 in a year. There will be transfers and some will ask to leave so getting past the 25 will probably be crucial this year. JMO
