I have heard Gruden got somewhere over 20 mil. Could be around 25 , but I'm not sure. Who got more doesn't even matter. The thing is , Weis didn't have anything in his contract that said he would lose money if he coached at a different place. If it did , he would never have taken a job , much like Gruden did not. Bottom line is... Gruden isn't coming here until he gets his last check. I also don't think he gives a damn who looks around either. Recruits will be there in December. Do you really think he is sitting at his house upset about a high school kid geting offers from Oregon? People need to be patient.
According to tax returns, Weis didn't get any money from Notre Dame in 2011 when he coached at UF when they had it showed up in 2010. Maybe he can't get the money if he rejoins college football or it may just no show up. ND is tricky and there is really no way to confirm it either way.

Recruiting is about relationships, and we have the early enrolee signing period in less than a month which are going to involve some very good players and is loophole for signing over 25 in a year. There will be transfers and some will ask to leave so getting past the 25 will probably be crucial this year. JMO

Any chance Gruden is announced before the game?

Introducing him before the game would ensure a huge boost on ticket sales...and possibly prevent another gameday loss.

I do NOT claim to be "in the know" in any way shape or form. However, I heard something interesting from a friend. His family is very well established in Cleveland (i.e., multiple family members have held state and federal political offices). He says that he has heard Gruden is being offered a stake in the Cleveland Browns franchise from Haslam if he accepts the HC job at Tennessee. This would obviously not be part of the official contract, but if this is true, it sounds like they are working every possible angle.

Ok, so I called my buddy to see if he had any more information. All he knows is that there have been serious talks concerning Gruden receiving some form of ownership or managing position with the Browns if he accepts the HC job at Tennessee. This would not occur until his coaching career with Tennessee was done. He's going to see if he can get any more specifics and call me back. I'll let you know what I hear.

Boro when is announcement tomor or friday?

I'm guessing within the next 48. Erin Andrews and Erik Ainge both know....I know this for a fact. Deal is done, Dilfer to MNF.

Since I know Andrews knows, they won't be able to keep the lid on it for long.
