The comments from Hyams really concern me. It would have been one thing for him to just generally doubt Gruden to UT, but to say there was a "snag", and as a result chances have drastically decreased suggests that he knows something. This is not good at all imo.

the story will read something like Gruden is coming to UT and Haslam ponied up the money late to get him.

uh no I didn't @BGHTheShow Erin Andrews reported on 104.5 The Zone in Nashville that a source close to Tennessee says Gruden's a done deal.

Man I didn't know when I left my computer and kept the page open that the rif raff would slip in.

It is all my fault gman...hope you guys can forgive me :whistling:

Its all good Coasty, I love it when newbies come in here spewing stuff we talked about and addressed weeks ago. It should be mandatory that folks have to read previous Gruden threads before entering the current thread.

It's Hyams, don't worry about it.

Someone in the AD is telling him there is a snag (LWS).

I fully expect to see it as "Breaking News" scrolling across the bottom of the screen on ESPN, the day it breaks, followed by "official" conformation from UT within the hour. Would you agree or disagree with this assessment?

I can see ESPN taking the lead on it and then going live from TBA as Gruden is announced as the next HC at UT.

Hymns thinks he is reporting about when we hired Dooley and the snag actually happened then...:lolabove:

Take it to the bank.....:hi:

That is what my dad was telling me. I tried to lighten the blow by reminding him how sick we were when Jimmy Hyams broke that David Cutcliffe would replace Lane Kiffin. We were relieved he was wrong. Now looking back would have been better than Dooley but then again we probably wouldn't have fired Cut only 3 years in. He would have won just enough to stave off termination but not won enough to be excited for 2013. The point was Hyams has reported totally errantly before. Hopefully the same this time.

Lets make this clear, if Gruden doesn't come to UT, it is NOT because there would be too much work or time involved. Please, please do a little research before you post that he wouldn't take the job because it's too much work. The man is a workaholic. Sheesh.
