That is bittersweet news, IMO. Sad that we have to draw money away from academics.

Think of it like an investment. If Gruden pans out, there will be more than $6 million/year to add to the academic side, more great players going on to have successful NFL careers and writing checks to their alma mater, etc.

Yeah, the athletic department has made a yearly donation and they are just returning the favor now.

If Gruden is successful, the AD should be able to donate again and then some. Think of it like a loan.
