I think they relied on Peyton too much,wouldn't let
Jamal Lewis in the game b/c he didn't know pass protection schemes...just give him the ball and let him run....

and I think the butt whipping Nebraska handed us in the
Orange Bowl toughened up the team for next year...

but Peyton gets so much love because he's been in front of the camera for 15 years now and has shown nothing but love,respect,admiration,and shown the UT in the best light possible...

The three of them announcing him would be bust-a-nut worthy IMO, and would forever go down as one of the pivotal, greatest moments in UT history...when my boys ask, "Dad, what was it like to be there when we became great again?" my response will be "Humbling, son, humbling...I was fortunate to communicate with some of the ones who knew about, and maybe even had a hand in making it happen...Im just glad they let me play along.":hi::salute:

They both love the university, but there was a reason Peyton had so many babies in this state named after him when he was here. He was the key that got us to the place where we could take that next step.

Are saying Peyton has an offical position with the school. These three are all alimuni of the school and have all been part of the process...as I hear it

There were accusations of him taking money that came up after he left.
There was nothing to it but it tarnished his image.

I hope to god that is true. It seems to jive with speculation and innuendo, but you never know.

That is some serious hardware if it is true. Not cheap either.

Makes me wonder if Gruden won't operate as defacto OC, maybe bring Tee Martin in and let him assist with OC.

actually I edited my 1st sentence after going back over it because it did kinda come off as a dick reaction...lol...but didn't intend it to be...but no problem...


and it is JMO on the whole Peyton/Tee deal...
would love to see Tee come home though...

I dont want to rumor monger here, as Ive really enjoyed just "enjoying" this ride (the last coaching exchange - Kiffin to Dooley nearly broke me), but in my business I have some interactions with 2 BOT members. I asked one of them 3 weeks ago about this whole coaching/Gruden thing thru a mutual friend. (He was able to meet with him, as I was travelling) My friend he asked, and my friend said he just laughed and said "tell him thats done my friend. All done." (Can I also tell you that our mutual friend is a Arkansas grad, and was actually pretty peeved about it how his ideas around gruden were laughed off.... ergo my having fun and sprinkling the Grudenville site with "fun facts", which has been hysterical)

One thing better be for sure... If it is Gruden, this Orange and White game will be 104k strong!!! Itll be a sellout!!! Book it! We should have a roll call of all TN fans there. If you dont show up, you are crossed off the list.

I will say this - Ive already ordered my UT adidas jersey, with "GRUDEN" on the back, and an appropriate #23!!!
