I think Strong is a very good coach and would improve our defense immensely. My only worry about him, can he recruit on the same level as Saban, Richt and Muschamp so we can compete in the SEC?

What is better is my sister-in-law is a huge Bama fan. She currently goes to school there. My daughter will tell her if she says "roll tide" that she must leave our house.

That was a sports reporter in Arkansas who said that. And he was probably being generous with those odds because of who is readers/listeners are.

This is why I'm not all in on Gruden- been burned too much in the past. But the longer this goes on and the more this slips in to the mainstream media, the more I'm willing to listen.

But heck, I thought we'd do well this year, upset some ranked teams, kick the crap out of Vandy. I was wrong about all of that. And now I'm a doubter that we'll get Gruden.

My hope is that I'm wrong one last time this year. Would be great!

Just curious, what is Ainge saying now? Haven't heard anything about him in a couple of days. Is he still sticking to his 'zero chance its Gruden' story?

HA! That's awesome.

I have a feeling, assuming everything works out, that I will have at least one niece end up in Tuscaloosa, possibly two...plus a nephew.

Ugh...I told them as long as they get an education, it didn't matter where they went.....but boy did those words taste like acid coming out of my mouth.
