I don't believe the nfl thing either but it has been news worthy lately and you can damn sure bet Saban is using it in recruiting.

No doubt. Kiffin did it and we got Bryce Brown at the last minute. My concern is can we keep Gruden if we get him? And at his experience/expertise level, it might not be all about the money. The decision might be like this: 3rd tier UT... NFL gig... 3rd tier UT... NFL gig... being relevant in big time football... 3rd tier UT... money ain't everything, but if we are gonna get him, I'll wager it will play a big part, and there had better be a dumptruck full of it backing up to his door as we speak.

Even the unbiased observer says that there is no way Gruden would go to Ark. Plus, one situation makes sense while the other does not.

Hi all,

I know I have not posted in this thread before but I've been addicted to it for 2 weeks. And today, OMG I've been hitting F5 since 11 this morning. All I have to say is I can't stand reading the FF anymore. They are about out of the loop as Arkansas fans. Listening to the presser today, Hart convinced me more and more that Gruden is our guy and he's already in our back pocket. No search firm and almost giggling at the rumors going around town question.

So with that note, Go Vols and I'll hang up and listen :wink:

We don't have to recruit directly against Bama. I will take recruits against Georgia and others. There are enough good players to go around. We just need to keep the Jalen Ramsey's and Von Bell's instate.

I highly doubt that Saban is telling recruits that his team could beat NFL teams, it's more of a joke and you have to be delusional to think that Saban is using that as a recruiting tool.

Damn I was quoting Saban and yes that has been a topic lately and I am sure he is using it in recruiting.

For the record I don't think there is any way in hell they would beat the worst team in the nfl in the last 10 years.
